If you are a black individual I recommend you not to waste your time or hard earned money at this place and I’m speaking from personal experience upon entering instead of being greeted and seated I had to extend my hand (while being stared at) speak and ask where could I sit and who would take my order which no customer walking into an establishment to support should have to do. One of the guy waiters sat me at the bar after I had to ask, I just wanted 2 shots and a few tacos I go to order 2 shots at the bar and the guy a who was working the bar told me that “there’s a bar next door” and then he proceeds to tell me the 2 shots would be $23 which I was fine with because I was willing to pay so that I could enjoy myself but this is where I had to realize I was not welcomed the waiter comes back and asks if I’m ready to order I tell him my order and how I would like my order he goes on to say “we don’t do that” I look at the menu and order something else and it’s “we can’t do that” so he goes on to suggest something and at that point I was just like fine let’s do it but I don’t eat corn tortillas so I asked for flour he went to the back to ask came back and said no. If a customer can not choose from a menu with a variety of items that’s on the menu why have a menu? Why not have a sign stating this? Why not let the customer know upon arrival? And why have a bar full of alcohol if you’re going to be rude and tell me “there’s a bar next door” also the tacos we’re going to run me $23 how are tacos and two small shots the same price? Most importantly if you all do not want to service black people I we would rather be told that than to be sitting uncomfortable and unwanted in your place. Btw no one black runs the White House or...
Read moreOnce again, I’m on my journey of eating across America. Today, I’m parked near this restaurant, so I just had to walk over and give it a try. At this time, I can only review part of the food, because I am literally stuffed from eating two regular chicken tacos and four mini chicken tacos…with a side of black beans. OH MY GOODNESS…!!!! I’m not easily shut down by a couple plates of food, but they actually did it. I haven’t even thought about grabbing the biggest burrito I have ever been served; so big, they cut it in half. I asked for “grande”…and they delivered. I have no complaints about the food at all. I didn’t venture out too far though. I kept it simple with an all chicken meal, but they had many meat options for anyone else looking to try something not served at a nationwide franchise. The sauces were all self-served , along with other choices such as fresh chopped onions, cucumbers, cabbage, etc;. What really made my to-go order enjoyable was the friendliness of the cashier. She didn’t pressure me to order and even offered suggestions, when I asked for her input. I was given a suggestion on the sauces by a couple dining customers, as I stood filling soufflé cups at the bar. A Hispanic gentleman gave me a suggestion of his choice that I had over-looked. It was a cheyene pepper and oil mix that I took for granted. I asked him if it was spicy, and he said yes. Little did I know, it had THE KICK I have been looking for years for. My head sweated so bad on top, I had to stop eating for a moment to dry off. This is definitely a place to stop and enjoy a good meal at by all means. I don’t think anyone will leave disappointed…I know I’m not, as I sit here contemplating this burrito challenge sitting up front...
Read moreMaybe I’ve gotten lucky the last two times I’ve been here but this is honestly the best Tex-Mex restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. I say Tex-Mex but they are leaning more towards authentic Mexican food with some of the menu options. In a state where there’s a Tex-Mex place on every street, it’s hard to stand out. Most Tex-Mex isn’t very good but this place is absolutely delicious. The food is so tasty, just the way it should taste. We went through the drive-thru the first time and the service was ok. Not super friendly, but the food was delicious. Today we went inside and sat down and the lady who waited on us was very nice and friendly and the food was delicious again. 100% recommend it. Just for reference, I had the big fajita beef burrito the first time I came (I can’t remember what it’s called) and today I had the street tacos and my wife had the chicken quesadilla. The burrito was fantastic. The street tacos were almost perfect. They had that perfect salty, zesty zing that you want from a street taco but the meat could’ve been more juicy. I had a bite of the quesadilla and it was very good. Props to the cooks at this place because they make delicious food. I will definitely be coming back many times...
