We have been Augusta residents for decades & not surprisingly have a small number of favorite restaurants that we tend to selectively patronize. We seldom deviate from that list of favorites. Over time we have witnessed the sad decline of the area around the I-20/Washington road interchange. There has been a growing number of homeless & "sketchy" people entrenched in that area, and the consequent trash issues & substance abuse problems there are readily apparent. Saw a news story highlighting these issues, and that story included an interview with the owner of Two Boys Pizza & Grill. He was lamenting how the aforementioned problems were detrimental to businesses in that area & that he was not sure that he would be able to continue to operate if these issues were not addressed. Decided to try his place out just to support him in his efforts to remain viable there. We visited out of sympathy, but we will be returning because of the food!. The location used to be a Denny's restaurant & it is attached to a motel that is rather run down & seems to cater to the rather problematic demographic alluded to earlier. Getting in & out of the parking lot can be challenging due to the proximity of the traffic light at a nearby intersection. We were told we could sit wherever we pleased, & it was tempting to choose a location that would enable us to keep an eye on our vehicle, but we chose a booth by a window & were comfortable there. The staff was very attentive, smiling & efficient. We went there specifically to try the pizza, but were surprised to discover a very diverse menu with many Greek & Italian options as well as subs. Had a fried okra appetizer that was tasty & piping hot. Our pizza was very good, ingredients were fresh & all the food came out quickly. We asked for extra sauce on our pizza, and I still would have liked even more sauce so make a point to specify extra sauce if you are so inclined. Water glasses never had a chance to get empty & we didn't have to ask for straws. My bride has quite the sweet tooth & wanted to try a dessert. She chose their tuxedo cake & thought it was quite good as well. Made a point of speaking to the owner after we were done & told him we would be returning. He is apparently looking at another location off Fury's Ferry road, and I hope that works out for him as it would be away from all the problems he is currently facing, & I think he would be more successful there. I encourage you to give 2 Boys a try. If your experience is like ours, you will plan to return. We are looking forward to trying some of his other offerings on...

Update: So after a couple of months, Ive decided to give them another shot. Let me say i was very very pleased this time around, it couldve been a one off day for them but they made up for it with great service and delicious hot food. Yes I took my order to like last time and my pizza was nice and hot still when i got home. The salad was extremely fresh, you can taste how fresh everything was, the tomatoes, cucumbers, onions everything in my chef salad was delicious, their house made dressing was also very tasty. Needless to say I will be returning and dining in with the family. Customer service was also exceptional.

So probably the worst experience I've had since living in Evans, this was a take out order I put in. I ordered a large cheese pizza well done, large half pepperoni, half bacon well done. I said well done about 3 times when ordering also ordered a Greek salad and fried pickles, they tell me 25 min for the order and I show up in 25 min, the gentlemen at the door asks me my name and says he will check on my order, comes back and says nothing, in waiting there 15 min extra, was it busy? Yes but not busy enough that they couldn't tell me it will be a bit longer for my food, I get my food, drive home literally 7 mins away and my pizza is cold, I didn't know because my daughter grabbed it and didn't say anything. I've gotten take out in at little Ceasars and my pizza was hotter getting home. This tells me my food was ready and just sitting there. Opened up my fried pickles, boom cold and soggy. Yeah now I know my food was just sitting there. Wife starts eating the salad to Bite into rotten spoiled cucumbers, slimy lettuce that's old, and it had big chunks of green pepper I mean like a whole half a green pepper in there. Definitely not fresh either. 😕 TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT! The flavor of the pizza is ok. I feel eating in and getting it hot it might taste better but yeah we most likely will never go there to find out. I took pictures but I don't see the option...

After reading all the reviews here it was probably just a bad day. The food is excellent but the service needs better organization. When we walked in we waited at the front to be greeted for 5 minutes. Server finally comes over to tell us we can seat ourselves. She was running around crying I assume out of being overwhelmed. She had 2 boys helping her with drinks and another helping expo and bus the tables. Food took long time to arrive and didn't arrive all at once. Two tables walked out because they weren't greeted after seating themselves in a timely manner. My advice to the server would be seat the guests all together in a section to manage them better. It's easier to tell who has just arrived and needs attention and your not running all over the whole floor. Also pay attention to the food window more often. Items sat in that window and nobody noticed or even looked to see what was ready. Get trays to deliver drinks/ food instead of hand carrying everything. To the cooks... as the restaurant picks up pace you need to as well. Having only one speed knowing you have lots of food to cook makes for bad ticket times and poor service. People can see how fast your moving with you having an open kitchen. Finally guy at the register. The register should not be your primary job. The server can cash people at the table like most restaurants. That way you become a whole extra body to help and assist where the restaurant needs you most. I'm rooting for you guys. I enjoyed the food but providing better service and organization will increase your...

This was a first for my family and I . My wife pick this restaurant out. There were about three customers dining in the restaurant at the time. This is a pizza joint slash fine cuisine. Notice atmosphere was kind of dull and dark, could use some LCD TV'S and lights, and light restaurant music. It confuses me with what the bar had to offer. When we sat down their were only two menu's on the table, no adjustments for the four of us maintaining our cool in a respectable manner. The waiter ask what can I get for you all to drink. We order water, tea, and fruit punch. They had RAW CHIPS. My son was amazed because that's his favorite home fried chips. Zaxby's use to have these on their menu too! Back down memory lane! They had big wings and they were good, The chicken 🐓🍗 strips were thin and fried crunchy too! They were out of bake potatoes, so my daughter had the a big sweet potato instead. Everything cook fresh to order! Still had to ask for to go bags and sauce. No refills on drinks offered priceless! Left a tip with the waiter and manager! The store owner was very friendly and reminded me of Manny from White Chicks! I also seal the deal with a togo large pizza 🍕!

Cozy pizzeria with an attentive staff. Our server Shannon, gave us excellent guidance towards new favorites. The menu has a lot to explore. Can't wait to return. Gyro pizza. Pasta bowl. Zucchini sticks.

One of those wonderful, out of the way places that only the locals know, shhh! This humble establishment sits in the shadow of the Super 8 at the intersection of Washington and Steven's Creek roads. Family-owned Italian and Mediterranean fare, with a sweets display that makes choosing dinner first a difficult decision. I had a Gyro Platter that proved to be absolutely delicious! The gyro was probably the best one I've ever had, I so appreciated how they finished it. The platter came with Greek potatoes, which were tasty and steaming hot (notice the steam in the picture!), and a brilliant Greek salad. The service was excellent. Nancy didn't let my tea run out, and never confused it for sweet tea! Also, grabbed a cannoli to-go, but, in future, would opt for eating those as soon as prepared. I forgot how the shell softens if not eaten immediately, but that was my fault, not theirs! Their cannoli has chocolate bits in the creamy yumminess. Would love to be a regular here! One other detail that made this an extra recommendation-the booths have quotes behind each bench. I sat with wisdom from Dr. Seuss and Robert Frost. What fun!
