El Alazan Restaurant — Restaurant in Georgia

Today I went to have a nice family lunch with my sister whos been out of town for 2 years. when we arrived they got our drinks and order and brought us the drinks and the food and the desert at the same time...then never came back. the desert was not finished and was missing the ice cream and whip (sopapilla) and my chicken burrito was soggy and filled with water. we sat there thirsty while all the waiters walked around laughing and standing around. i understand when your busy ... but you had two other tables with customers ... thats it. the owner eventually finally walks by asking if everything was okay and we explained our concerns and he went to the waitress. she came back finally and asked to take the plates.... not to fix the desert or maybe get us refills? since we never got one. we then say our drinks are empty and she states "so you want a refill" with such a nasty attitude. and still never got it. we ask for the receipt and the desert to be taking off since we did not eat it due to not being complete and having no service to even complain or ask. she spoke to my family nasty. and said "well do you want the ice cream and whip”... ma'am like no we finished our meal 20 minutes ago. she then brought the receipt and it still had it on it. so we told her and she finally removed it. like i said i understand busy but that was not today. absolute horrible service and today was the first day i never tipped. I sure hope they get some people and this never happens to anyone else. you can have a bad day! but not when your getting paid rate tood:7/10 service:1/10 due to the owner not even checking to make sure things were done and 2 different ladies as waitresses did not do there job and treated customers with no respect New! The best thing was the drinks. Service was disappointing. I came here on a Friday night so they were pretty busy which is expected. I had a party of three adults. When we arrived there were people standing waiting to be seated and waiting on to go orders. There was an older gentleman that seemed to be the host in charge of seating people. Apparently there is a sign in sheet that the fellow patrons tell us about. We placed our name on the list. This gentleman is not even looking at the list. He's just choosing people to sit. He even sits people that have arrived after us. At this point even the customers are starting to notice that he is skipping over us. One party of two even tells the host that we were here before them. The fellow customers were nicer to us that night than the employee. I wanted to leave but I stayed for the rest of my party. Once we were finally seated our server was ok. The experience at the front door almost ruined everything. Like I said the drinks were really strong but if you are looking for authentic Mexican food this isn't the place. This one review won't effect their business but I...

My husband and I had a delicious dinner and plan to return again soon. We have been trying different Mexican restaurants in the area and this is now our favorite! My husband had Steak Azteca, a rib eye steak with a delicious chipotle cream sauce. He had several choices for side dishes, and he chose a salad and steamed veggies. Everything was fresh and very tasty. I had Quesadilla Primavera and was able to choose what went into it. They had the best mushrooms, zuchinni, and squash that I have had since moving to GA 2 years ago! I had a salad with mine, which tasted great with the quesadilla. The chips and salsa were also yummy. And the waiter was good. We sat down right away (we go out to dinner on Monday nights), had a booth (which we prefer), and didn't wait long for our meal. BTW, the ambiance is festive with music just right for the theme. I would highly recommend this...
