Previous reviews are definitely befitting to my experience. The first time I ordered thru UberEats, my meal was delicious & well portioned. I ordered a Large oxtail plate, peas & rice(heavy gravy), & Mac & cheese. I was so satisfied, I placed the same order a few days later. Only this time, the second plate's quality, nor quantity was not equivalent to my first experience. The portion size was inconsistent. As stated above, I ordered the same Large oxtail plate; however, the size was much smaller than my first order. I made several attempts to contact the number listed for this establishment online, but never got an answer. So, today, I decided to give them a 3rd try, also, ordering from UberEats. In the offered "Notes" space, I explained my concerns with my last order, & requested they remain consistent with their portion sizes; especially, if I'm paying extra for a large plate. My order went thru, but approximately 15 minutes later, I received a notification from my Uber app, stating my order had been cancelled, due to the store not being able to accommodate my "special request". This is ridiculous, & unprofessional. There were no "special request" I only reiterated how dissatisfied I was with my last order, compared to my first order, & asked that they be consistent with their portions sizes when paying for a large meal. A true business owner would have taken this time to acknowledge A REPEATED customer's concerns, & rectified the problem. I will never spend my money, nor patronize a business that doesn't have enough respect for my money enough to cancel an order, out of retaliation, opposed to taking accountability & be competent enough when serving food, to be consistent with their serving size.

It was 8:30 & I saw that the restaurant was closing at 9 so I did the responsibile thing by calling ahead of time so by the time I got there, my food would be ready. So I thought...I called at 8:30 & was on the phone for 15 minutes (which was the amount of time it took me to get there). I was on hold the entire time and NO ONE came on the phone to tell me they were sorry or explain the long wait. I still went there looking to spend my money, but when I got there and explained to the lady that I was on hold for a long time. She snapped on me!! She was talking to me like I was a child and I’m a grown woman!! What got me was when she said,”You still on the phone? You want me to talk to you through the phone??” RUUUUUUUUUUDE!!! Again, they have great food, but I will never go there again! The big lady was super rude!!! They’ve lost a customer🤷🏽♀️
Response to C&R: Only if your statement were true, I would agree but I don’t because you obviously left out YOUR attitude & major sarcasm when I got there ma’am. Lol. Who wouldn’t have an attitude when they were blatantly forgotten for 12 minutes?? When I walked in, the phone was upside down on the counter while other customers who came in after me walked in. You left that part out. Please don’t leave out the sarcastic comment you made about taking my order over the phone while I was standing in front of you. I will not allow you to try & shame me while you put yourself on here like you’re the victim. You’re not a saint ma’am so don’t portray like you are. Read moreI was pretty disappointed with this meal. I usually won’t even leave a bad review for black owned businesses because I like to see them prosper, but this wasn’t it. The rice tasted like bag rice (which is okay), but was VERY under cooked. I couldn’t even chew some of it. The cabbage had some huge pieces that also we’re too hard to chew. The macaroni and cheese . . . I let the lady who answered when I called know that I wanted a side of Mac. She said that she needed to check on it because she was pretty sure they were out. I heard her speaking to someone in the background, presumably the cook. From their conversation, I gathered that the cook was in the process of making more. I heard the woman who answered the phone say, “So what should I tell her?” She came back to the phone and assured me that they indeed DID have some already cooked, so I added a side to my order. What I received was a mess. It was raw pieces of bell pepper and unmelted shredded cheese on thinly cheese macaroni noodles. I’m guessing it had not gone in the oven yet and they were just trying to get orders prepared and out. The chicken tasted at least a day old. Considering that I waited 20 minutes for this, I was not happy. I gave 2 stars because the beef patty was pretty good and the seasoning was just right. I won’t be going back any time...
