If I could give a negative zero I would! That's what deserved.
DONT EVER GO HERE for Chinese food!!! Not only does it taste AWFUL and lack flavor, but the owners/employees are rude and are BEYOND disrespectful!
I've been living nearby this establishment since they opened it and after a couple of times of trying it, I told myself I would stay away. (Tried when first opened; tried months later; still bad)
However, today I was really craving some chicken lo-mein, and didn't want to drive far. I called ahead to order a small order to-go. It was ready when I got there, which I was happy about.
But, as soon as I got home and quickly forked into enjoy it, I was harshly disappointed... Again! It was bland, NO FLAVOR, and greasy. I told myself I would season it, add some soy sauce and spruce it up. ...Until I realized there was little-to-no chicken in it. I just paid $5 (not much, but still money spent in vain), for a container of noodles with hardly a couple of small slivers of chicken in it just for kicks/for them to say it's "chicken lo-mein".
This time I wanted to give them an opportunity to fix it. This time I decided to call and express my disappointment. They said well... you can bring it in and "we'll look at it". I said well... if I'm coming back, I would really like it fixed, or a new one, or something else.
So I went back. Before I even fully walked in, i was greeted by perhaps one of the owners, aggressively coming from around the counter to argue with me about it. Him and his seeming wife tried to double-team me to start yelling at me about it. She's clicking tongs in my face and snatched the bag out my hand to start dissecting the dish. I said listen: "I didn't come here to argue or fight, I would just really like for you to fix this please. It's not right." They started getting louder: no, no, you pay $5; you get what you pay for. Then they shoved the dish towards me on the counter and told me: "Get out! No refunds!"
The humor and irony is, I never asked for a refund. After all, it was only $5. I simply asked for them to fix it; Or... I suggested even more so, I would pay to order something else. They didn't want to hear any of it. Or maybe they couldn't hear me for all the yelling they were doing? Either way, such a poor poor way of doing business and such a terrible way to treat a happy paying customer.
It's one thing to have less than desirable food. It's a whole other thing to act crazy and irate when a customer requests that something be fixed. Guess they don't teach customer service skills where they're from. But I know they DEFINITELY WONT get anymore of...
Read moreThis was my second visit to China King. I'd seen it when going to the neighborhood Walmart, wanted Chinese, so decided to give it a try. Both times I ordered sesame chicken. First time, I walked in and placed the order. The wait was a bit longer than I anticipated, so the second time I called ahead. I still ended up having to wait once I got there even though it was past the time they said it'd be ready. Both times my chicken and fried rice were good. It was a nice portion. The second time I ordered, they added broccoli. The only other thing that I didn't like besides the wait time was their egg rolls and spring rolls -...
