The doughnuts are great, there is no denying it. They also have amazing croissants. But the parking situation, the service and the bagels all leave something to be desired.
I stopped in there this morning and had the most ridiculous time trying to find a place to park. I had to maneuver around 4 cars trying to leave and three cars trying to park and no one knew what they were doing. It was a madhouse and made me really frustrated. Then when I got in I waited in line for like 8-10 minutes, which was fine. I got a dozen doughnuts and two blueberry bagels, which they assured me were amazing. They gave me my doughnuts, then told me my bagels would be right up. Well, the bagels were ready in just a few minutes, but they sat on the back window ledge for over 8 minutes while the person filling orders in the back called repeatedly that they were ready, but was ignored. Finally I stopped one of the ladies filling doughnut orders and begged her to literally just reach behind her and hand them to me so that I could leave.
When I finally got my bagels, I got back to my car and had to try to manuever around a car that was parked almost directly behind me, because there are only about 5 parking spots, so they decided they could just park anywhere. when I was FINALLY back on the road, I pulled out one of the bagels to give it a taste. It was the most dry, bland, un-bagel-like bagel I have ever had. It just tasted like dry bread, it was not the dense bagel consistency it should have been. It was probably the worst bagel I have ever had. Literally I threw the two bagels away. I almost went back to get my $2 back for the bagels, but decided it wasn't worth fighting the mad house of a parking lot again.
So, bottom line, they have great doughnuts, but stay away from the bagels and be prepared to fight for a parking spot with your life. I will NEVER go back there on a...
Read moreEdit after 5 years -- From 5 stars to 3 stars. What happened?! I'm feel like I'm being generous with 3. No variety, mostly regular glazed. Sold out which I guess is normal late morning on a Saturday BUT my BIG disappointment....they don't make the Blueberry Fritter anymore!!!=-( For me it's no longer worth the drive without the Blueberry Fritter. Not sure what happened but I won't be going as frequently anymore. Donuts they did have just weren't as good either. We normally clear out that box in record time, but have many unwanted donuts leftover. Also note that the prices have increased (understandable with the state of things). Cheaper than Dunkin' but still not worth it for limited variety and the drive over there. Sad day in our house.
Best donuts around. I drive 20 minutes to get here for the donuts. Blueberry fritters...
Read moreThe only donuts I eat are glazed from Krispy Kreme. I'm rarely near one, so I don't get them often. I was craving one but didn't want to make the drive. I came across Dough In The Box on Google maps. I skeptically decided to give them a try. The inside is clean and open. The employees are nice and helpful. I like that they toss some donut holes in with your order. Got home and warmed the glazed raised I purchased. DITB has a new repeat customer! Delicious and affordable! Who can ask for more?
Update: Since my original review, I've tried their breakfast croissants. While I enjoy them being fresh and hot, they give very little meat. More so an egg croissant than...
