I was very excited about trying this place. I went about a hour before closing and ordered a crab leg plate and shrimp and lobster plate. I was very specific in asking for no seasoning on the shrimp and lobster plate and it was even repeated back. Upon receiving the food there was in fact seasoning on the food. The young lady who took the order asked if I still wanted it even though it was incorrect and I said no can it be fixed as asked. The gentleman putting up chairs as well as the person cooking seemed agitated that I had the unmitigated gall to ask for them to correct a mistake they had made. The order was promptly brought back out and all appeared to be in order. Over 90 dollars was spent at this establishment only to get back to the hotel and find out the food was still incorrect. Of course the restaurant was closed so I couldnāt call to discuss this. My boyfriend proceeded to send an email and posted a one star review. ShaVontay (either manager or owner) responded and was annoyed that he posted the review versus emailing her to rectify the situation. However, the email response that followed essentially called me a liar and concluded that nothing would be done as she didnāt want to be ābulliedā into giving a refund. They put seasoning on it anyways and instead of re-doing my order, they rinsed the seasoning off the top of the food and asked us how it looked. I didnāt realize that they tried to wash the seasoning off until we got back to the hotel.
Your sign says to check the food before we leave and thatās whatās we did. How were we supposed to know that you wouldnāt re-do the order since they made the mistake of adding seasoning to my food? They asked if I wanted butter, I told them no. 3 minutes later, they had my plate ready. That plate was $42.50 plus tax. The least you could do is hold your employees accountable and provide a refund for their irresponsible actions.
Hopefully, you can handle this in a professional manner so that people get what they paid for instead of your employees cutting corners to keep from correcting...
