Today only gets a 3. I ordered the half pound grillz cheese burger (that's the only way it was offered) combo. I took it to go from the counter. I didn't inspect it. Part of my order was telling them what I wanted on it. Ketchup, pickles, onions, mustard. Period. Ok, I didn't SAY "period". But I did say that was all I wanted on it. Now in my world "THAT'S ALL I WANT ON IT" EXCLUDES EVERYTHING ELSE. In DAIRY QUEEN WORLD, not so. I found my burger as I ordered it but heaping with cheese. This is TECHNICALLY WHAT COMES ON IT. But I learned from the manager that the CUSTOMER MUST INDICATE "NO CHEESE" AND THAT IT WASN'T THEIR FAULT AND SO I HAD TO EAT MY MISTAKE. Normally such cheese would be considered a BONUS but I have a mild to moderate reaction to dairy products such as milk, cheese, ice cream, etc. So it kinda ruined my burger thinking of what discomfort I would be dealing with later. But that is my supper and I'm not going to throw away $7. I overheard her say it happens a lot. So I guess people fail to indicate that they DO NOT WANT CHEESE" and then come back to them.
I tend to lean to the customer always being right. I bet if I dropped my ice cream going out the door they wouldn't replace that either. Or my coke. Too bad too sad. Be more ARTICULATE next time. I won't have to worry about it next time. I'm going to order something that doesn't come with cheese OR COST AS MUCH. But, JUST IN CASE, I will STILL MAKE IT CLEAR...NO CHEESE.
If I were the business owner I would tell my manager while we want to keep food costs down, if a customer ever comes to you with that kind of scenario; even if the mistake was ON THEM, take care of them. It's cheaper to keep a customer than to win a new customer.
Disappointed. That I have to eat my burger with cheese on it? Yeah. But my BIG DISAPPOINTMENT was the managerial response to "my goof". Which I still say "ONLY" is a TOTALLITY term. "IN TOTAL, I want pickles, onions, mustard and ketchup."
It's at least good to know the company's position on it. I'd rather know what I...
Read moreI want to start out by saying THANK YOU to all of our loyal, understanding, caring customers for there business. As the weather gets hotter and schools get out for the summer we are getting busier. As of now our hours are Sunday thru Thursday 11:00 AM until 9:00 PM and Friday and Saturday 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM. It is posted on our sign, door , answering machine, and our website. However there are websites that are not ours with the wrong hours. As everyone is aware we are very short handed and are in the process of hiring people. The employees we do have including ourselves are working 6 to 7 days a week (10 to 14 hours a day). We have opened our dining room up several days a week and certain times of the day when we have enough help. By the end of June our dining room and drive thru will be open all day. Depending on staff shortages we will do the best we can to serve our customers. Our food and icecream is made to order and is not pre-made. So depending on how busy we are and staff there might be times we have to take your order and then make it. If that happens wait times may be a little longer. So with that being said please be patient and respectful to our staff. We are doing the best we can and want to make our customers happy. I hope this clears up all the comments about the dining room or us being slow....
Read moreMy wife I decided to treat ourselves and our puppy to an ice cream treat after dinner. We have been going to this Dairy Queen since 1996 and have always had exceptional service. It has been a little while since we were there last and we did.not recognize any of the employees so it may be under new management. I placed our order and then asked for a small cup of whip cream for our dog. I told them that Baskin Robbins offers a free “pup cup” but I would pay for this if I need to. The cashier looked confused and walked over to ask the manager. She came back and said they could not do that. The manager was watching so I asked her to come over. When she did, I made my request again. The manager then reluctantly agreed by saying “I’ll do it this time but never again.” Then she added that to my order for a dollar. I was taken back by the whole exchange. As a businessman, I felt as though the owner would like to know how their customers were treated. So I asked the manger to come back over. I then asked her if she was the owner. She said no. I told her I was going to tell the owner and asked it was. She said it was her brother in law, Jay. I plan to call Jay tomorrow but I wanted you all to be...
