Overall, terrible experience. Poor customer service, strange food.
Food: Nachos are very difficult to mess up. For some strange reason, my nachos were topped with carrots and broccoli. I have never in my life seen nachos with broccoli and carrots. They were a soggy mess by the time they were delivered. Practically inedible.
The mahi mahi fish was very dry and flavorless. It was served with a tiny scoop of rice.
I ordered garden burrito without onions and paid extra for fish to be included with the burrito. I received a burrito filled with onions and no fish.
Customer service: The door dash delivery was incomplete. I called to find out what happened to the rest of my order. I was respectful and polite the entire time. Jose answered the phone, proceeded to tell me that I was wrong because my order was complete. He went to the kitchen staff and began to question them in Spanish. I waited on hold while be went back and forth loudly with someone else in Spanish. He came back to the phone, asked me if I spoke Spanish. I said "no" and he hung up on me. I called back and asked whether or not he hung up on me. I was astonished when his response was "yes". I asked again if he hung up on me and he said "yes". Then he told me I was right that my order was missing part of the order and rudely asked "so what you want me to do now". I told him that it was unacceptable to treat a customer the way he had treated me and asked to speak with the manager. I was told that the manager was out until 5 pm. I asked for a callback from the manager. No surprise that I haven't been contacted by anyone. I am very disappointed with the customer service I received.
My message to the management: treat your patrons with respect. If you make a mistake, take responsibility and make it right. Don't take your customers for granted. Don't let Jose answer the phone anymore until he gets some basic customer service and phone etiquette training.
My message to everyone else: l would have been better off at Taco Bell for a fraction of the cost....
Read moreI wish I could rate this -0. In my four decades of life, including being a business owner, I've never felt compelled to express dissatisfaction towards any establishment until now. This marks my third and final encounter with this business, as I won't be a patron anymore. Three months ago, I was incorrectly charged for a lunch special, and although it was just under $20, I let it go. About a month ago, my carryout order was wrong, and when I returned within a minute to address the issue, the owner accused me of consuming the incorrect order and returning for more. Despite the absurdity, the $13.59 charge was eventually refunded two weeks later. Today, on 1/3/24 at around 4:25 pm, I picked up a phone order for a Texas quesadilla, quoted at $18.46. However, the owner charged my card $185.46, denied it (despite having the receipt), claimed he voided the transaction, and instructed me not to return due to perceived inconvenience. The food is decent, but the recurring issues include lack of accountability, unprofessionalism, miscalculations, insulting behavior, and blaming others for mistakes. This does not reflect good business practice, and despite working with numerous individuals in the area, I will never support or recommend this establishment. The owner should be ashamed, as this kind of behavior is both sad and disgraceful. I will advise everyone that I encounter, all 80+ clients and their sphere of influence, who live and/or work nearby this restaurant, to not support this business for any reason, at all. This is the worst type of owner to do...
Read more1 hour before the buffet closed they didn't want to give out any more oysters. Until I pushed back saying that if I'd known this I would not pay 30 bucks for it. They brought some more out and then they told me that was all they were going to put out for the entire night. and one order cost $25.
Imagine, 1 hour before the Buffet shuts down, they don't want to refill the seafood which is the main selling point I would guess. 10 to 15 minutes I can understand, but 1 hour? I just don't get that.
That's a little extreme and a whole lot cheap. Honestly, the food is great. I would wholeheartedly recommend this Buffet if it ran about 15 bucks. They want to charge 29 and cheap out on the oysters and one of the kitchen staff got a little sideways with me.
Because of the customer service issue, my recommendation is Skip it; go to the Chinese place next door. Don't pay lots of money to not get full value and to have somebody get an attitude. Not worth it whatsoever.
Turns out the clown in the back was actually the manager. That's a real good manager. Has no problem having a confrontation with a customer. But wants to go hide in the back and send his assisted out to deal with me. What a coward.
Even the assistant manager couldn't make any excuses. He said however he's the boss. Assistant manager was a great guy. Hopefully he becomes the manager and they fire or demote the clown in the kitchen. A management change is definitely...
