UPDATE: Never received a refund, I was lied to by Sarah - the General Manager of this location. Reached out to the corporate office about my experience.
...... Very disappointed in how my order was mishandled. I spoke with the GM, Sarah to hopefully resolve the issue - as Papa John's was not completely at fault. However, Sarah was very nonchalant and chose to be combative to my issue. I chose to get a pizza delivered for my son doing well in school. The pizza sat outside on the wet pavement with earthworms crawling around. There were stacked boxes that the pizza could have been sat on. It was beyond frustrating.
Overall, three associates continued to hang up the phone on me until I was told by Sarah a refund was issued and corporate was aware of the issue. She also told me not to order from her location again. This is disappointing - as we have ordered from this location over five times in the past few months. I asked them to have better customer service and be more understanding when they receive a complaint. It's not towards the person and customer service is felt - it's not just a tone on the other end of the phone. Also, I was called immature. Sigh Please do better.
I know it can be rough working in customer service -as you will get some irrational customer calls but I have NEVER had an issue with this company. I am beginning to believe there was a culture difference, as I was told my tone was rude from my initial call. Again, let's improve how we view someone who calls with a complaint. We are all human. So I decided to go for it and it was the worst decision I could have made. I should checked my order before leaving. Extra large Pizza with no sign of the beef. I had all the tomatoes paste, green peppers and onions but to coin a 1970 Wendy's commercial ( Where the Beef??). Papa John, I have been a customer of yours for a long time, but if you are pushing upgrade without the Beef I am out. Lied to by the front clerk not once but twice when they forgot to make one of my pizzas (#1 it's in the oven and then 18 minutes later #2 we can't find it as it was never in the oven). In total, sat there for an extra 35 minutes while my original pizzas got cold in my lap. By the time my last pizza arrived I had one hot pizza and 3 cold ones. The manager stayed in back and kept sending out the cashier rather than coming out and trying to make things right.
