$15 per person includes drink! Come as you are (still in your work clothes or back from the gym, no problem) On a recent Monday evening there was fried chicken, roast chicken, fried pork chops, Salisbury steak, rice, green beans black eyed peas, yams, and cabbage on the hot bar. Cucumbers in vinegar, fine cut green coleslaw, picked pepper melody, and carrot salad. Biscuits and corn bread. NO salad bar(no green leaf base, no dressing, no salad toppings - no salad bar) Various bowls of pre-portioned pie and cake square desserts, plus hot peach cobbler. A server going table to table offered fresh fried green tomatoes and our table service was excellent. 5 stars for that. Food tasted like low salt was a consideration in the kitchen, leaving some items from the hot bar on the bland side - just shake on a little more! Overall 5 stars for value...

We are regular customers mostly Wednesday. If we catch Shelby before she leaves the service is great But if arew minutes after 2pm, no service. Today a black couple walked in with a box of merchandise and suitcase full of scented oils. The cashier held up the line to see their supplies, finally she went and got another cashier so she and a few waitress went to the bar to test their merchandise!They ordered one hamburger! I do believe that is soliciting! Meanwhile customers were waiting for more tea and where was all the waitress, at the bar where the open suitcase and boxes were! Thought management should know. Definitely won’t come back one minute after 2pm or maybe wait awhile until you can get more staff for customers after 2pm. Cost too much for such service and we drove 25 miles...

This is.probably the best restaurant in Thomaston for home cooking. Owned by a family with deep roots in the restaurant business here in town, there is an abundant offering of good Southern home cooking. The staff makes rounds with fresh dishes like cornbread pudding, chocolate pie, and fried green tomatoes when available and you get them while they are still warm. It is served buffet style and you can really get your fill. Every detail to attention is paid and sanitation practices have been updated for the current pandemic atmosphere. Whether you live in Thomaston, visiting for a while, or just passing through this is definitely a must not miss place if you like good eating, friendly staff, and a laid...
