First off, we loved the atmosphere and the staff. This place is an old school drive-in with a number of outdoor picnic tables if you want to eat onsite. Since we live an hour away, we chose to eat onsite. Everyone that we came in contact with was helpful, friendly, and seemed to be genuinely concerned for our well being during our visit. During our visit I learned that they are under third generation family ownership, and I sincerely hope that they are able to continue the tradition on for generations to come. Next, what did we order? A little bit of everything, honestly. For my wife and I we ordered with the expectation to take the leftovers home, and that's exactly what we did. Our order was, a barbecue sandwich, cup of Brunswick stew, a cheeseburger, a hamburger, a chili cheese slaw dog, and of course fries, sweet potato fries, and drinks. And, the review: My wife loved the stew. I thought that it was a little on the sweet side, but she loved it and we brought home two extra pints. The hot dog was very good, but I will skip the cheese (sliced American) next time and stick with chili and slaw. The burger was "interesting". The restaurant describes it on their menu as "scrambled". Think about it as a sloppy Joe without the tomato sauce. The barbecue sandwich was very good and I will definitely order it again. The fries look to be house cut, fresh potatoes. Unfortunately, we were there in the middle of their evening rush hour, and the fries were a little soggy, undercooked. I am guessing that is the result of below temperature oil as they were hustling to fill orders. I am thinking that on another day, or at another hour, they would have been spot on perfect. And before we left we ordered a milkshake, orange cream flavor. Very sweet and very good. Our car hop said that it is made with their soft serve ice cream and Fanta Orange syrup. I am guessing that means no calories. All in all, we will go back, choosing our time of arrival thirty minutes before, or after "rush hour".

Keep the menu simple and do it well. That's the recipe for consistent success. All burgers come scrambled on a bun. Don't knock it until you've tried it. The fries are greasy, but they're good. Frosted orange shake is a favorite! This is the kind of place you go for the Nostalgia of a drive-in and the atmosphere. There's not many places left like this anymore. The only reason it's not a five-star review is because I was not impressed with the onion rings.

I decided to try this place after reading the reviews, but I was lead wrong. I ordered cheeseburger , onion rings , and baked beans. Baked beans were given to me cold like straight out the can . Fries and onion rings had to be cooked in old grease . The burger hamburger meat was scrambled like I was on a mechanical soft diet , it should be optional . Yes one of the worst ever . The best thing I bought was my soda .

Came here with my husband and mom. We all three got the scrambled burgers and they were horrible. They were suppose to be deluxe but literally they were just scrambled meat, a tiny bit of ketchup and a few shreds of lettuce, nothing else even though we requested the works on each one. The sandwiches were extremely over salted, super greasy and over all just had a really nasty taste to them. We ordered their fried pickles and those too were over salted to the point they were inedible. And to top off this already terrible experience, all three of us ended up with severe food poisoning after eating here and wound up in the emergency room. ...
