I never leave reviews but wow. I donât know who the guy was I spoke with (sure itâs a manager or owner) the women who I spoke with previously were pleasant over the phone. I called this evening to try this place out for the first time, asked about substitutions and both girls Mia and another girl working told me over the phone that I could make substitutions for allergies or whatever (I was never given items on the menu that could not have substitutions) so I thanked them and proceeded at 3:55pm to place a 36 dollar order (gumbo was included). I did see it said it had okra in it but as I stated before they told me I could do subs on menu items or add instructions so I was comfortable with placing the order. I then was called 5 mins later (I was not near my phone) and a voice message that stated the okra is cooked in the gumbo and could not be taken out. I attempted to kindly explained to the gentlemen what had happened and he told me i either have to exchange the gumbo by itself or cancel the whole order and i then asked if I could substitute the three items I ordered together for another menu item that added up to the same amount, he proceeded to talk over me and have unprofessionalism and said no maâam we canât cancel the order or replace it, the food is already cookedâ mind yâall I saw the time stamp it was âsupposed to be cookedâ it was a 25-30 mins time frame so calling back after ten mins of missing their call shouldnât have had all my food cooked (so that was nasty in itself) I proceeded to say please cancel my order if I can not substitute and he got even more mad and said âthe food is cooked! Maâam the food is cooked! This is a black owned business!â At that point I again tried to see what options we could have and he then again talked over me and said âwe will take the lose have a good day and hung up in my face without refunding my money. So I called back and got the girl again Mia who told me the refund was not processed yet but she would take care of it for me and stayed on the phone with me until I got the email saying my refund was processed. If the professionalism (lack of) is any indication of the food then Iâm truly blessed I...
Read moreTypical Black owned metro Atlanta business with poor customer service. Tonight was my 3rd time dining at this establishment. Arrived at 8pm, drink orders taken around 8:15-8:30, drinks came out maybe 10 minutes after placing our order, food order placed BEFORE 8:45pm, my food and 3 other orders came out AFTER 10pm. I let the âManagerâ know I was on my way out and she can keep the food and she proceeded to say she couldnât remove any food from the check. Lucky for the âManagerâ and the entire establishment, a lady in our party decided to take the chicken Alfredo I ordered as a to go meal because i definitely wasnât paying for it on my way out over an hour after I ordered it. That Manager was going to have to call Cobb County and the Austell PD out to do nothing because I wasnât paying for a meal I didnât eat. This was my second visit to this establishment 3 months apart and they still couldnât figure out how to place and present orders in a timely fashion. The first visit in June it took 15-20 minutes to place and receive drink orders then another 30 minutes or so to place food orders then another 25 minutes to receive the food! Then checking out at the podium at the door took another 8-10 minutes per person because they couldnât figure out who ordered what. The crazy part is the lady that served us in June somehow became the manager by the end of September and still couldnât get food out in less than 30 minutes or cash out the correct orders. I ordered 2 drinks and she rang me up for 1 so I had to help her to ring up both drinks do I could pay and go! The second time I went was for a line dancing class and I just ordered a drink from the bar, but it took a little while for the guy working the bar to present to the bar, take an order and make the drink. Itâs an absolute no for meâŠI...
Read moreMy family had a reunion this weekend and decided to come to Phenomenal Seafood for Brunch. The kitchen lacks organization! Food was ordered and came out sporadically. My mother ordered chicken and waffles just as at least 4 other people in our group ordered but her food was the last to come out. Before her food came out she cancelled her order and shortly after she cancelled the food came out anyway. After speaking with the owner/manager and telling her that she did not want the food because everyone else in our party of 20+ had already been served and she had eaten off of there plates because her food took so long to come out. The manager/owner told her that food can not be shared and that she would have to pay for the meal. My mother told her that she did not want the food that came out after our entire party had already eaten and the manager/owner told her she needed to leave her establishment. After seeing my mother leave I went outside to see what was going on and she told me what happened, I spoke with the manager/owner and she said that she would not be disrespected by anyone. My family members that heard the conversation did confirm that my mother only spoke facts and was not disrespectful. My mother, who is a former restaurant owner was shocked by the lack of customer service. If my family had not come into Phenomenal Seafood today they would not have made nearly as much money. Letâs not act like they are super busy and the fact that they treat customers this way explains why. My family was going to Pasta Bella today and silly me had the bright idea to support black business. Welp, thatâs a wrap. I canât say the food is bad, itâs actually really good, but the customer service gets a 0! I will not be back and my family...
