No! No! No! This is the longest review I've ever written and the 2 stars are for the 2 people that provided great hospitality. Last night was not a great experience for my friends and I at all. I'm sure when you read this review your bartenders and our server Noel will know exactly who is giving this review. The bar was out of everything single thing we attempted to order to enjoy our night. After ordering through our AMAZING server Noel the bar sent her back to us FOUR TIMES if not more to tell us the liquor we were ordering were not available. Our orders weren't difficult and we knew exactly what we wanted. Once we finally were able to get a drink after almost 30 minutes they were sent out in random glasses (not martini glasses) and tasted like cough medicine. It was very a frustrating evening. The saving grace was our server Noel and her positive attitude. I felt bad that management is making her job harder than it needs to be. All of that could have been avoided for her if her manager provider her with a 86 list of things the bar is out of and will possibly be running out of soon before her shift was started. And not once did a manager stop by our table to check on his/her patrons. This was my 3rd time visiting this bar and will probably be my last. I don't live here. But, I hope things don't happen like that on the regular. Thank you again Noel!! Get it together RACHAEL'S!! Sidenote: the gentleman who checks the ID'S out side has always been hospitable the few times I've been there! Great attitude!

Went today for lunch. After going with the server's suggestion to get the "muther clucker," I was asked if I'd like it grilled or fried. Whether or not I'd want cheese. As well as was told it comes with a side. Out of all those preferences, I can understand an upcharge for cheese. A $2 fee for grilling is a stretch but ok maybe I didn't read that listed somewhere. However $3 for the "included side" is nonsensical to say the least. If there's an upcharge for a certain preparation as well as certain sides that should be disclaimed. When I asked about the side supposedly being included the server explained that menu pricing had needed to be updated... I'm really curious to know what the meal was supposed to look like as the menu described it at the base pricing. I'm in food service as well so I know the impact of leaving less than ideal reviews. But there should be more transparency in the menu and/or better communication from server to guest. If this was a case of running up the bill for a higher tip since I was only getting a sandwich... I was intending on tipping my usual 20% or at least $5 whichever would have been higher. But out of the preset 18%, 25%, and 28% gratuity choices I opted for the least since I was little put off by this pricing structure. I would rather the fees for these up charges be dollars I can add to the server's share instead. Oh yeah. If it's any saving grace, the sandwich was good. The spinach needed a lil salt. The cat hanging out on the porch was a cute lunch companion.

Friendly atmosphere & positive vibe fail to make up for mediocre pizza. Admittedly, expecting “good pizza” from a bar on the DEEP South Side of Savannah may be a bit of a stretch, but the menu claimed it was “award winning” & I was feeling frisky. Again, I don’t really know what I was expecting & was initially impressed with the presentation. The cheese & ingredients looked melted together similar to the way I did the first time I watched Avatar in an IMAX & the green from the Pesto was a “fun” twist. The first bite was LOADED with flavor & deserves high marks...but it was floppy. Flaccid may be a better word. While I certainly didn’t need four hours of firmness, even a modest amount would have been appreciated. The crust was crispy but I couldn’t bring myself to finish more than a slice & a half. It was SO greasy. I plan to toss the remainder in the skillet for lunch tomorrow. May have been better with a buzz, but sober it was only noteworthy for its appearance. Kind of like my Ex.

We were in town for business and came to Rachael's without looking at the rating or reviews(which I rarely do) and had I done so we would have passed. We went in and it was after 9, the bar was louder than we really wanted so we decided to avoid it. There was a nicely dressed gentleman sitting there and asked if we were eating in and we said yes and he said the hostess would be back in a minute. The young lady came to seat us and when we asked to not sit in the bar area she had to "go see if there are any tables", she came back and sat us in the restaurant area where there was absolutely no one else sitting. We were given full menus to include a 4th of July(with extended hours) special menu. Our server came and advised us nicely that we were only allowed to have fried foods as the kitchen was closing down. So no pizza, no burgers, no sandwiches nothing. My friend after asking how big were the "jumbo wings" and told "oh they are really just regular size wings" decided on them. I ordered the "You're a Jerk shrimp" and Crispy Duck Wontons. My friend was pretty pleased as his wings were some of the largest we have seen lately, they were cooked perfectly and could have used more sauce but they were pretty good. My shrimp came out and I was surprised that there was only 5 medium sized fried shrimp with what looked like Thai chili sauce poured on top for $9.50(online menu says $8.50 but I am pretty sure it was $9.50). Next was the duck wontons, there was just 4 on the plate, if there was duck in there I couldn't tell and they were $8.50. The place just felt dirty to us, needs a good cleaning and an update. I will say that all of the staff were nice to us and we were waited on promptly and waited for nothing. I don't think we...

We went there hoping to get some pizza to go. When we walked in the door I was put off by the bad shape of the doors. There was a hole in the door the size of a fist that you could see the outside and both doors were filthy. Not a good start but I was starving. The hostess was nice and quick to take our order. When she gave me the check I noticed that it said extra cheese, we were charged more. I told her that we did not want extra cheese and please change it. She said it was actually an up charge for getting our order to go. I asked why we were being charged and she said she would take it off. When our pizza came it was burned. the cheese was a dark brown and I couldn't see any sauce. I explained to the owner that I would just like my money back and we will call it a day. She said no problem and left. Another man came back out with the pizza and asked what was wrong. I told him the pizza was overdone. he proceeded to tell me that that is how the pizza should look and I told him the pizza I like does not come burnt. He told me that if he didn't do it that way the crust would be doughy. I told him that I am not here to argue with him we just want our money back , I don't like burnt pizza. In the end after much apologies from the owner she assured me that it would be taken off. While I appreciate that, no one should ever argue with a customer. i wasn't mean or disrespectful, and I am not paying for something i am not going to eat. I am not sure if the guy was one of the owners or the help but he needs a class on customer service. I do not recommend this place and will never come back. If they can't put out a simple cheese pizza then there is an issue. I am glad to see that the charge...

I will give the food a 4. Have ordered twice in 2 days and was pleasantly surprised by the quantity and quality of the food. But, as usual bad customer service will overshadow anything good about a place of business. When my friend arrived today to pick up our call-in order, he asked for the order not knowing that he was too early. As I was letting him know (we were on the phone..headset) the server/greeter also was letting him know that it would be ready in 15 minutes. When he said, ok I’ll just sit out here and wait she said “WHAT?” with an attitude. Of course, I can hear this so I asked “was she talking to you? That was rude.” He of course said, no she’s talking to someone else. She wasn’t but, he was trying to remain calm and ignore the issue.

Once the food arrived, he asked for extra salsa. The same server/greeter with, this time a very obvious attitude proceeded to tell him that there was already one included with his order, he said there’s only one I want an extra one. She, with hands waving and eyes rolling said you have one with each order. So, he repeated that he’s aware of that..she cut him off and said sure you can have it but you’ll have to pay $1.00 for each one. Again, being a calm man he said that’s fine. But, in his ear I said no way! He told her never mind and she was satisfied. Seeing this, he’d finally had enough and asked for the manager.

To finally shorten this review, I will just say that it’s obvious that this place leaves lots to be desired in the way of customer service. Of course, the Owner (not Manager) ordered her to give him the salsa...
