Update! Make that 4 visits, I wanted to give this place another try because the food was so good my very first time. But man! I don’t know what’s with this place. The salmon Cajun pasta was so over seasoned I couldn’t eat it! Took 3 bites and was done. It was so gross. I will never be back!

The service here is awful! I’ve had 3 experiences here total, and every single one, there was a issue with service. I was left on hold for over 20 minutes then told I couldn’t place a order because they were about to close. And they had no more food prepared. I spoke to the cook as I was extremely frustrated. I explained I had been holding to order for close to a half an hour. She literally said “I’m not about to argue with you” and hung up. She was soooo rude and nasty to me. 2nd time they just didn’t answer the phone, I called all day until I finally had to go order in person. The last time it took well over a 1hr and 30 minutes to prepare my order for Grubhub. Btw I used Grubhub because again they didn’t answer the phone. When I finally got my order is was just nasty! Like the veggies on the pasta was not cooked and very crunchy. You can tell they just threw it together last minute, my grub hub driver told me when she arrived they opened the door asked what her order was then told her it would be 20 additional minutes. It tasted like they slapped it together last minute. I’m so disappointed in this black owned business. Trying to support and service like this makes us look bad. The customer keeps the business alive, treat your customers better! Shame on you...

I have to say that this soul food restaurant is my favorite after one visit! Saturday I was trying to figure out what I wanted to eat, and nothing was appealing to me. I kept saying that I will just cook, then decided I don't feel like doing that either... But I was hungry! I started googling restaurants near me and Bam there was Tasty Budz. I looked at the menu and the reviews but what caught my attention was fried corn on the cobb! Fried corn on the cobb is one of my favorites, and I am happy that Tasty Budz not only had it but it was cooked perfect. I should have bought much more, but we will be back. The fried chicken and Mac n cheese also tasted wonderful. I have not had chicken like that since my grandmother passed. Oh yes she could throw down! The food was excellent but what impressed me most of all was the owners that we're cooking and preparing for Sunday. I am big big big on customer service, and no I don't believe the customer is always right. I do appreciate warm hospitality, people just being nice to each other, and treating each person like they matter. My family and I will definitely be back, and I pray that God blesses the owners and this location with an over-obundance of prosperity, health,...

1st time visiting today. We ordered greens, yams, Turkey wings, cabbage, fried okra, Smothered Pork chops, deep fried corn, cornbread dressing, and cornbread. Lastly we had Pineapple Lemonade to drink. Let me start off with the good which was yams, Smothered Pork chops and Turkey wings, all well seasoned. The greens were bland, no salt or meat flavor. The fried okra was good. The bad was the deep fried corn on the cob. It was a mini cob fried in Zataran batter. I like the batter for seafood but not vegetables. The ugly was the cabbage seasoned with onions, multi colored peppers and celery. The cabbage was overcooked and the peppers overpowered the taste. The cornbread dressing was very well seasoned and okay. The Pineapple Lemonade tasted super sweet and concentrated. I was able to add a 3/4 cup of water to 1/4 cup of the lemonade and it was very delicious. I can get 3 servings from the 16 ounce bottle. All in all, I will return but try something different...
