Rays Donuts — Restaurant in Riverdale

I've been a regular at this location for several years. The number of staff had been lacking but the service and food were on point. Yes, there was a little wait for certain things, but I dealt with it. Today, I saw more staff working than I ever did before. However, the efficiency and accuracy were 100 % better with less staff. I called in an order and still waited 15 minutes (total time from call-in was 26 minutes). I told the tall young lady my name and what my order was, she said it would out shortly. Shortly turned into 15 minutes. I asked for a refund and the senior of the new staff said my order had been sitting there. But no one called my name, checked to ask me if I needed help, or even verified my order because I was standing there for a very long time. The wait area actually cleared out. So, when I asked for a refund, the senior of the new staff looked at me simply offered me some donut holes for the extended wait. I expressed myself as controlled as possible but the dumb look on her face showed me that she didn't really give a care about anything. The taller new staff member looked me and didn't say anything to anyone.

So to the management: donut holes really make up for terrible service, dumb facial expressions, and no apology. I know I'm only one person but I'm taking my 5 years of loyalty...

Update:12/11/23 I haven't been here in a while, and this by far was the worst experience. With that said, I won't be returning regardless of how much we enjoy the donuts, sandwiches, and smoothies. According to the pricing on the screen, must I say it's so misleading. Mixed donuts aren't the actual price displayed. Basically, you have to get the donuts of their chose to have assorted(mixed as they state). Let's say I wasn't happy about the pricing(which all the pricings will be attached). Not only that, it's an African American young lady who works here. I was asking her questions regarding pricing as she was ringing me up. The lady that's been there for a while rudely interrupted her as she was answering my question. The young lady instantly closed her mouth, mumbled with giving an apology. She stated, "I'm sorry, but I can't say anything because I got in trouble for answering someone else question the other day." That instantly pisssed me off. African Americans are the ones you guys mostly get business from, but behind the scene your rude and nasty to the race that helps keep your business open. 🙄

This place has the best donuts. My kids ask to go here every morning...

The doughnuts are great, don't know how they do it but Im 56 and can easily eat six doughnuts and my stomach is like no problem. If I eat two Krispy Kremes, and I do love the glazed, I feel kind of queezy or a bad sugar high. The breakfast sandwiches are made right then and there, I love the bagal egg bacon and cheese. People that work there are great and the place is very clean and rated 100. Edit. I dropped it a star because they open at five however the doughnuts are not ready till 6-6:30. The girl that worked the counter is gone and replaced with some airhead that I wouldn't trust near the cash register. If you go around one o'clock there's not much to pick from and your getting what's left because...
