I would have loved to give this place a 5 but here’s why I did not. I took my lunch at 12pm got there around 12:25pm, as soon as I walk in the door the girl behind the counter said to another customer we out of ribs, it will be 2hrs!!!! He left. I then asked what else are you out of she said they have pork and brisket a little bit of chicken. Seeing as I really wanted ribs because it is Labor Day weekend, I settled for brisket and chopped pork with Mac and cheese and collards. I sat there and 15 mins for my food. Here’s a list of things wrong. No silverware in my bag or napkins Mac and cheese was from yesterday, was cold. I cook and you can tell when Mac and cheese is from the day before, it didn’t taste bad just knew it was from yesterday because a fresh batch woods have the cheese hard. Greens were good but cold Brisket was good but they didn’t have regular buns so she gave me a hot dog bun, also cold. Chopped pork was good but also was from yesterday, and cold. Mustard bbq sauce was good. The girl behind the counter said they had ribs that had to defrost 9 comes in a case and the owner or cook was there since 9 and she hit there at 10, which doesn’t make since, everything was from yesterday yall didn’t have time to warm up or make a new batch of Mac and cheese at least? I don’t know if I’ll visit again but you might want to call before you go so you won’t waste your lunch time getting something you didn’t really want. $35 worth of cold food and no silverware to eat, which is why you see my fork in the picture. Read moreOn so many different levels, this Black Owned Restaurant absolutely give you reason to "shake your head in disappointment" it is and as been an absolute risk to drive 45 minutes one way, to either find the following conditions upon my arrival. NOTE: Business hours show 11:00am until 10:00pm Fri/Sat, 9:00pm otherwise. It's impossible to reach the establishment on the phone, no one will ever answer.
A) Every visit has been disappointing B) The very worst customer service, bad attitudes and disrespectful C) Always out of ribs, or a 1 to 1.5 hr wait D) Never have all the items listed on the menu E) The sides are horrible, and the portions aren't worth the money F) You never know when heading there if they will be opened or close, it's not based on business hours, but when they run out of food, which appears to occur regularly G) Doesn't appear to be a responsible adult or manager in charge of the business, ran by inexperienced, unconcerned, non-caring child minded young want to be adults.
Would give it a zero if I could. Cashier was rude. Cook was rude. Come here if you want attitude. They offer Sleepy service, poor food quality availability, and when asked why it's like this they stated that their kitchen was backed up, yet the restaurant was damn near empty, with 3 to 5 people waiting hours for food, just inconsiderate to the people who patronize your business. Either do it correct or don't do it at all!! What a waste of money for awful service from start to finish was not good.

Read moreI was at the airport rushing to catch a flight. I stopped by Mustard Seed BBQ to get a salad to go.
I expressly told them that I had a milk allergy that would make me very sick and so to not put any cheese or milk products whatsoever on my salad.
I even ordered BBQ sauce for the dressing in order to avoid any milk contaminations.
$11 for the salad and $2 for the tip.
When the salad came, I grabbed the bag and rushed for my gate.
When I arrived at the gate, I looked inside the bag and they had put GOAT CHEESE ALL OVER MY SALAD!
This was not the kind of cheese you could merely take out of the salad if you were willing to take a chance. This was the type of cheese that smears all over the rest of the food.
My plane was about to board, so I didn't have time to go back and have them redo the salad. I had no choice but to throw it away.
I looked them up online and called them. They refused to let me speak to the manager and they refused to take my complaint.
I went onto their FB page and left my review. When I went back later, they had erased my post with no apology.
I will be contacting the health department about them.
There are foods that can be dangerous to some people and these people clearly do not care that they put their customers at risk.
I will also be contacting the airport about them.
They clearly need to be shut down. If they would do this iver something as simple as cheese, what would they do if they served...
