NOPE!!Horrible Customer service.....Chemo patient looking for food to eat when sometimes it's hard for us who receives chemo treatments to eat. Found seafood pasta at UNCLE Cs as part of fooda they come set up at Cancer center in Lawrenceville, GA. The guy was packing up to leave and told me I couldn't sample the seafood pasta which, there was only about 2 scoops left & it looked like it had been sitting there for hours. so I didnt know if it was cold or what. Everyone knows what restaurants do with food when its time to close. They throw it away. I asked nicely if I could sample the last of the pasta. He told me very rudely " I knew u just wanted a hook up when u first walked over here" which was very unprofessional and stereotypical. I didn't say anything I just walked off & called the store. Considering I just received chemo, I had no energy to reply. When I called the manager or owner was cool at first. I told him what happened he apologized and said well since hes packing up he probably could've just gave you the rest for free. Which I think any restaurant or donut shop or something "would" knowing your just going to throw it out anyway. After he saw this post he called my phone asking if i gave him a 1 star... angry, mad and started going off on me. Like I don't have my on opinion. Don't beware of me. lol I'm just an honest consumer who wanted something to eat after my chemo. Its not my fault you chose the wrong people to work for you. Your in a hospital for god sake. I don't want anything that can make me sick. Asking for a SAMPLE of something that looks like it was sitting for a minute is not a reason for you nor your employee to become rude. I would never ask for anything free. That's not me. I definitely won't give them 5 stars because of customer service and looking at the response of the owner makes the customer...
Read moreWent to Uncle C's today based off of the reviews and the smoke I used to see when drove by 92 and Bells Ferry... Looked at the menu and asked the lady up front if the combos came 1/4 of ribs and she said yes, so I opted for the Rib & Brisket combo to go.
My problem wasn't with the taste or quality of the food, but the portions for the price... I thought the plate felt a little light for $21 after tax, but whatever... Got home opened up the plate and to see (count them) 1, 2, 3 small ribs, 5 - 6 pieces of brisket, a piece of garlic Texas Toast, a half scoop of baked beans, and a nice sized scoop of potato salad, and two containers of BBQ sauce. I can understand limiting the meat, but the sides too?!
The ribs were tender, tasty, and meaty, the brisket was tender, but not all that flavorful and needed the sauce which is good, the beans had a great smoky flavor but after 3 bites they were all gone, the potato salad was good as well, toast is toast.
I might give them another shot and just get the ribs and ask for more sides if I can get them. In my opinion skip...
Read moreThis place has been in business for almost a year now. It opened last 4th of July and was a food truck for seven years prior to that. Uncle C definitely knows his BBQ!
Several different plate combinations available for dine in, and BBQ meat by the pound available to take out. Some of the meat options are sausage, brisket, smoked chicken, jerk chicken, and pulled pork. Portions are generous. The brisket is lean, but not dry. Pick up a piece with some garlic bread, slather on some of Uncle C's hot BBQ sauce, and get ready to slap your momma!
The sausage was exceptionally good. It was nice and lean and a little spicy. All the standard sides available; potato salad, baked beans, Mac and cheese, green beans, grilled garlic bread, etc.
AMEX accepted. Friendliest owners. They greeted me warmly and insisted on helping me carry my food to the car and giving me a handshake and a smile. I'll be...
