Feeling peckish on a Friday night and decided to try a (new to us) Indian restaurant. Nestled in a corner of a strip mall, next to a Mexican restaurant, is the entrance to the restaurant festooned with 'Christmas' lights. The space is small.. with a hillside mural on the wall highlighting peacocks in the foreground. The aroma was pungent with spice, clean, and laden with a promise of a good meal. We ordered limca (aka Indian sprite) and coke. For appetizer, we had the chicken 65. Crisp and perfectly spiced. Sometimes, the chicken 65 can be overly doughy, but this was perfectly fried with the chicken tender inside. For our entree, we had the butter chicken *medium spice) and the chicken gonguru (Indian spice). The food was great and was accompanied with garlic and chilli garlic naan. Oddity number one, I asked for Indian chillis, but they didn't have any. Only jalapenos.... hmmm Oddity number 2. No lamb entrees in the curry section. Onky goat. Which I don't like because it comes with bones in it. Will definitely eat here again, but wishing there Indian chillis and boneless lamb morsels for a rogan josh. The onky reason the food was a 4 was the lack of lamb.... otherwise would be a 5!!!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic Indian restaurant, and it exceeded all expectations. The lamb dish was a symphony of flavors, tender and rich, while the Szechuan fried rice added a delightful twist to the meal. The goat fry biriyani was a true highlight, perfectly spiced and aromatic, showcasing the chef's skill. The garlic naan was a soft and garlicky indulgence, complementing the dishes flawlessly. To cap off the culinary journey, the mango lassi was a refreshing and sweet delight. What made the experience even more memorable was the personal touch from the owner. Meeting him was a delightful surprise – he was incredibly friendly, taking the time to chat and genuinely interested in our feedback. It's evident that the owner and the staff care deeply about their customers, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. This personal connection, coupled with the exceptional menu, makes this Indian restaurant a standout choice for anyone craving authentic and delicious flavors. Highly recommended!

A medium sized Indian restaurant with the same dishes you find in any Indian place with one or two different items. This is mainly aimed for people who like mild to no spice Indian items. The pepper chicken is on sweet side and it is haed to find or taste pepper in it. The chilli panner is standard fare with the paneer pieces being cut finger length instead of cubes and deep fried. Nothing to write more about it. But the vegetable biryani is very good in taste, spice level and quantity. One of the very good vg biryanis I had in any Indian restaurants in US. The tea is different with a unique masala flavor to it. Service is good and fast. There is an outdoor seating as well

Been a regular customer here for a while—I usually come with my family and we always order the Veg Hakka Noodles, biriyani, tandoori items, and naan. The food and hospitality is great, and this place has become a favorite for us in East Cobb.

That being said, I wanted to bring up something I’ve observed—not just at this restaurant, but at many others restaurants too. It’s something I think could be reflected on more regarding etiquette.

A few times while dining here, I’ve noticed parties of guests speaking to the staff in a way that didn’t feel very polite when things weren’t moving quickly enough. I’ve seen similar situations elsewhere too, and it’s disheartening.

The staff here has always shown willingness to help. Sometimes alot of things are not in thier control. It’s not reasonable to expect a business to accommodate every single request beyond what’s fair. If something isn’t to my liking, I let the staff know after I’ve tasted the food, and they were kind enough to fix it. I never finish the dish and then ask them to replace it nor do i ask for them to cancel a order once its is sent to the kitchen. But ive seen people requesting this in small businesses.

I’m a strong believer in supporting local businesses. If something doesn’t align with your budget or preferences, it’s always okay to explore other options—just as long as it’s done respectfully, without placing undue pressure or harm on any businesses.

All in all, I just wanted to say I’m genuinely glad we have a Indian restaurant like this in East Cobb. Every restaurant is unique in its own way, and it’s worth reflecting on how we show up as a community. Let’s strive to support and uplift our local businesses that work hard to provide great food and hospitality to everyone!

edit: (reply to the buisness) Thank You so much for the...

here is my honest take: went to this place thrice just to see the consistency.

-Takeout dinner: the meal was given in a paper bag, which nearly tore up when my husband took it inside since we ordered a lot of food it was packed in one big paper bag. Personally, I think a plastic bag would have been preferable, I have never seen any Indian restaurants provide take out food in paper bags. My spouse added that the guy taking the orders didn't appear engaged and that he expected to see the owner/s at the register in start ups businesses.

Dine-in lunch: there were only two female staff when i went. great service. I really enjoyed the appetizers, The food came quickly.

Dinner dine-in: I went on Saturday and, although the ambiance is lovely, the lack of experience marred the whole experience. Food was delivered late, those who arrived later received it before us. The owner appeared to be aimlessly strolling around with no idea what he was doing. additional competent employees are needed. Although the food tasted consistent, I personally wouldn't dine in the evenings.

The menu was unclear to some extent. Although it appears that the tandoori meals come with naan, it was clarified that this is only a description of what a tandoori oven is and that the bread is not actually included. Some Items are marked out. Requires a more enticing appearance I could barely read the menu with the lighting and the menu being darker in color. My husband had a hard time reading the letters that were small.

Chef(s): The food is really nice and very different from other restaurants I've been to, but they need to be able to manage their time well especially with how busy the restaurant is. Not sure how many chefs or employees are in the kitchen. Hope it...

I dined at Verandah today for the first time and had a very bad experience.

First, the Samosa Chaat was a disappointment. The dish was surprisingly filled with curry leaves and mustard seeds, which overpowered the traditional flavors one expects from a chaat.

The Shrimp Pepper Fry was another letdown. Despite its name, there was no noticeable pepper in the dish. Additionally, the portion size was quite small for the price, and it was filled mostly with capsicum rather than shrimp.

The Gobi Manchurian was extremely dry, lacking the proper sauce that usually accompanies this dish. The taste was bland and did not meet my expectations.

Finally, the Chicken Fried was also subpar. It did not have the flavor or texture that one would expect from a well-made fried chicken dish.

Adding to the disappointment, when we informed staff about the food, they didnt even bother to apologize. This lack of customer service even worsened the experience

Overall, my experience at this restaurant was not at all satisfactory. The dishes lacked the expected flavors and proper preparation, and the portion sizes were not worth the price. I hope the restaurant addresses these issues to improve their offerings in the future. But i am never gonna...
