Here's the thing about Waffle House: I don't like it when there is residual syrup on the side of the syrup container. "But Velo, that is a dumb thing to worry about" you're most likely saying. Is it though?
To me if a Waffle House location has spotless syrup containers with no residual dripping down the side, it means that the team is on point about cleanliness, and takes into consideration that any component which comes into contact with a customer should instill confidence that the staff is paying attention to detail.
The worst offenders of the syrup container drip are the ones who let a drip fester on the actual container handle, so that when a customer tries to pour the syrup, their hands come away sticky. How long has that drip been on there? A day? A week? A MONTH?
Anyway, to me the best Waffle houses don't let their syrup containers get all gross. This particular location has about a 60/40 spread on whether or not you're going to get a syrup container with residual drips. Every time I've had a waffle here, it has been cooked perfectly. That should be worth something because sometimes you got to a WH and you get an almost raw waffle, or you get one that looks like half is cooked and half isn't. At this location the waffle is at least prepared with consistency.
If you go in the morning, you'll also get what I like to call the Friendship Road Waffle House Floor Show and Passive Aggressive Revue, as the server babes carry on to one another, about one another, and at the cooks, about the cooks. At times it is cute but other times it can get a little tense, so you sort of feel a little uncomfortable. But all of it is delivered with that southern "Bless Your Heart" damning with faint praise sort of tone that lets you know these ladies aren't really hating on each other. They have a job that is underestimated by the general public in how stressful it is, and this may be their way of dealing with it. So you as the customer, should be a little forgiving if you happen to go in on a day when the tension level is a little high. You could probably come in a few hours later and that same staff would be under less pressure and be so sweet to you it would feel like honey slowly oozing down the side of a freshly harvested comb. So cut them a little slack, eat your waffle and leave...

Hard to find good employees such as these in this market, yall gonna wanna keep her! Added that the other two employees(manager?andcook) need one too on that shift, but she(cute.waitress) went above and beyond this particular evening. Therefore l felt compelled and so floored at her tenative nature and customer service skills, that I needed to make sure she was recognized other than a decent tip.. i can't give anymore stars? location: To go orders only, and accepting no call ins you have to show up in person. Having done that somewhat unwillingly I'm gonna come.back again round this time next time I want some good ol famous WA-HO and hope I can get her section/area or she takes my order if to go only. Read moreWe’ve been to this location several times and rarely have the same server twice. They must have extremely high turnover and as such it probably led to the experience we had today… I point to the menu & asked about a “two egg breakfast” for $4.50 on their menu. After an explanation from the waitress I ordered it. When I got my bill there was a charge for $7.50. When I pressed for an explanation of the charge they said they thought I ordered the “other two egg breakfast.” After a lengthy back and forth that only repeated the same explanation on their part and a “that’s not what I ordered” on my part, they refused to reduce the amount of the bill. I paid the full amount and left. They got their $3 for their mistake, but they lost a repeat customer with a family of four. Plenty of other waffle houses to go to. I recommend...
