The Golden Phoenix is the best multiple culinary disciplines that I have found probably anywhere at least in the southeast. When I moved to Buford during the pandemic I did not know anything about places to eat but I didn't know that I like Ty Chinese and Vietnamese. This is a family-owned business and the owner a young female plays great detail too a great take out or in House dining experience. Whenever my family Comes To Town that's the only place they want to go! I eat their weekly and have for the last past year and a half and have never been disappointed. Take it from me I've traveled a good bit during my lifetime and these people are exceptional. Everything is made from scratch all the ingredients are fresh and so delicious that I am not a guy that goes back to the same place very often. If you haven't tried it please do you won't be disappointed. I'm single and don't like to eat in a restaurant by my self so I normally get take out. But the other day the owner saw where I sat and she said do you mind moving here and open the blind so I could see the...
Read moreOrdered here for the first time on just over 2 years. Service was good but the House Singapore Noodles were so spicy we could not eat it. We ordered Medium. Now I have eaten at multiple Thai restaurants and have had them with a 1-10 star method before. Normally I get 4-5 stars. Once we were given 10 star versions. We were able to eat them at that restaurant but not this dish from Golden Phoenix. Called the manager and he stated that the spice level is normal and that next time we need to order mild as we must not be able to handle that level of spice. The General Tso's Chicken that was supposed to be spicy was a very mild sugary sweet and the Hunan Beef that was also supposed to be spicy was medium. I know Thai spice levels, and the House Singapore Noodles were more like an 8 or 9 for a spice level and not anywhere close to medium. With the manager not trying to make it right, means we will make sure to never order...
Read moreAbsolutely delicious egg rolls, crab rangoon, and Lo mein. I cannot speak about any other dishes as these are the only three I have ordered so far. All 3 were absolutely delicious....The egg rolls were huge and had an extremely nice flavor for a vegetable egg roll. Almost like it had some 5 spice mixed in the recipe. The Crab Rangoons were filled with WARM melted cream cheese with a perfect combination of crab and a crunchy exterior. The House Lo Mein with no vegetables was absolutely delicious. Probably the second best Lo Mein I've ever had. IF they added a touch more garlic and a little more sauce during the cooking process it would probably be the best I ever had or on par with the Jade Dragon on Satellite Blvd which has won more Creative Loafing awards than any other Chinese restaurant in GA. This restaurant is 5 minutes from my house and I'm extremely happy they opened a location here....Good food is...
