Rise and Shine — Restaurant in Gering

I have to say, out of all the places I have been in this area, this so far has been the best in what I like to call a decent price range. The food was impeccable, tasty, and real! The server was kind and did her best to keep up as the only server on in a somewhat busy time. My only complaint was that the coffee was not hot at all... I could put my finger directly in it, and when the server brought me another batch, it wasn't much hotter. Other than that... I loved it, and it's sad there isn't alot in this area. I almost went again tonight, but for me, even with these fair prices, it's not in the budget except once every couple of months. This time was mandatory as my Apts. Were having work done! I think the biggest complaint is we got the worst waitress there. We didn't even get to order till until we were there nearly 30 minutes she brought the meal one plate at a time. Had to be reminded at least five times of things that she forgot My granddaughter ordered the appetizer platter which everything was fried and unfortunately fried brown. Not golden browned but Brown another 30 seconds in the deep fryer and it should have all been thrown in the garbage complete waste of money. All she ate was the mozzarella sticks I had chicken Florentine crepes. According to the menu they were going to be served on a bed of spinach. We waited 45 minutes for our food and after noticing others that came after us were getting there orders I asked what was going on and they said they lost our ticket. I asked how long where you going to let us sit there before you came over and retook our order? Judging by the blank stare of our waitress I realized it was time to go elsewhere, no offer to make things right, didn't retake the order, I mean nothing. I gave 2 stars because I've been there before and it was a pleasant experience but when you have 3 kids 8, 4 and 1 waiting on food for that amount of time and no one came to check on us is absolutely...
