Grotti's Pizza — Restaurant in Gilbert

We were excited to try this new pizza place since it’s close to home. We stopped in around 1:00 pm on a Saturday, and surprisingly, we were the only ones there. The restaurant itself was clean and cute, so we were hopeful. We ordered a supreme pizza and wings. At first glance, everything looked promising—but don’t let the pictures fool you. The pizza crust started off light and flaky but quickly turned soggy and doughy, with an undercooked taste in some parts. The wings came out hot, but they were chewy and not enjoyable. As my pizza sat in the window and a line in the restaurant formed, the only cashier went to the back and started a three minute conversation with the cooks that led him to, literally, coming out at 6:36pm on a Friday night and saying, “we won’t be serving any more pizza tonight”…. I have never seen that in my life. They were more worried about closing at 7pm then taking care of the customers.

Lucky for me, or really unlucky, I received one of their last pizzas for the night. The sauce is not good. The pizza was all flop. And the Caesar salad container was half empty.
