Mike N' Dangelo's Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria — Restaurant in Girard

I normally don’t write reviews on Google, but this experience was bad. My husband and I came in knowing to be very clear about what we were ordering. My husband placed his order of a grilled chicken sub w/o mayo. I literally point to the sub I wanted which was the Club Sub with cheddar cheese . We left and came back, we were gone for like 20 minutes. And when we got back they had not even started out subs. And when they asked me what I order, they looked around like they didn’t have the order ticket. Both of your workers there had asked me what I order and I had the menu in front of me, and yet again I pointed to what we ordered. They still looked frazzled and didn’t know what was going on. The guy in the back then even said ‘I don’t know what is what.” Are you kidding me? Finally after waiting for what seemed like a half hour they come out with the family’s food and our food as well. But they were so confused that they were about to give my husbands sub to the other family. And the other family and I are trying to decipher what subs are who’s. Well they come out with 2 Italian Subs that the family ordered only 1. So then I’m like this is not my sub and I then again explain what sub I got the Club Sub with Cheddar with pointing again. She goes back and makes it, so I waited again for my sub to be made. She comes and hands it to me. She was like is everything ok, I said no, because of the long wait and I said because I’m not even sure if my sub is correct. I hand the subs off to my husband and then meet him out in the car. Well then I open my sub and it’s completely wrong, it’s the Italian sub again, not the Club sub. I was so frustrated that I just dealt with it and ripped the pepperoni and bacon off of it to just...

I would have given them 0 stars if possible. First red flag was the guy taking the order who sounded like he was definitely High on something. Took 10 minutes to order 3 sandwiches. Kept having to repeat ourselves over and over. Second red flag is that when I drove the 25 mins to get there on an order that I was told would be ready in 15min I still had to wait another 20 minutes and correct them again on what we ordered. Third red flag was the over all rudeness of the staff upon entering the place. I'm not saying the customer is always right however you say you've been in business 20 plus years then you should understand customer service..... Definitely a lack of in this establishment. Fourth red flag is when I finally got our food and made it back it was completely wrong. Openes the foot long sub and it was two completely different subs. Not what was ordered and the other two subs again we're not what was ordered. So we called to see what could be done. I got hung up on twice then told td to drive back to the place to return the subs they acted like I was lying to them about this. I offered to send pics of what we received and throwing them away so they knew we were not trying to get free food . However they insisted that I bring the food back inorder to receive a refund or new food. This place is 25 mins away It was late and with hungry children this was just not possible. Needless to say we will never be back and I'll make sure everyone I know hears this story. Please save your money for another place. You will regret...

This was my favorite pizza ever. Tonight I used the slice app to order. I ordered at 530pm. I got an email saying it would be here 630-645. 715 I called the restaurant. Asked if the app worked. She said yes. I told her my situation, she asked if I was someone else. I told her my name. She said she didnt see my ticket so it should be out for delivery. I asked does that mean it's going to be cold then? She said no, it wont be cold. Driver came about a minute later. Pizza lukewarm and the crust was like nothing I've ever had from mike N Dangelos. The crust is what made it my favorite. It was so thin and like an premade frozen dough maybe? Definitely not the stuff I ever had from them. I also got boneless mild wings. The chicken that was once deep fried had no crunch to it. It was like chicken that had been soaked for an hour. The it tastes like chinese food that's been sitting in the warmer for hours. Its gross. I've had sauced wings before. They had some crunch. I also got potato skins that I havent tried but also look like theyve been sitting forever. I know my food is made when the order it was received but clearly it sat for way too long. I chose to spend $36 on this during the state shut down where money is tight. I always decide on where I go based on my experiences. If something is so bad, I will never be back and I always stick to it. This is one of those times. What a...
