Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Gladstone

I had a $50 gift card to use in Applebee's today. That's cash prepaid... not free. Went to the one on Antioch in Gladstone. We ordered adult beverages and an appetizer before our meal. We didn't see another human for another 20 to 30 minutes. Our drinks and appetizer came out, and staff disappeared again. We didn't have utensils or napkins. A larger party came in & we were neglected a bit. We patiently waited and got our utensils napkins and waters with our entrees that were served cold. Reasons for cold food.. the warmers were not turned on possibly. And she didn't want to stick her fingers in our food to check it. THANKS! Appreciate that! We were among the 1st ones in the restaurant. Why would the food need to sit long enough to require warmers on? We were kind. Everything that happened was a longer wait, though. I requested to pay the tab at the bar. Nope. Another excessive wait. Our waitress was spread too thin and the only one allowed to work with our table. Customer service suffers when we can't work as a team. For expressing my dismay, the manager was called out to watch us from afar but never spoke to us. Felt like i was being watched in case i got out of hand. I won't go back. I would have ordered another adult beverage and desert if it had gone another way. The attention and quality were not worth the wait. Bad business there. Mismanaged. Poor customer service. The atmosphere was applesees...

Food was served cold!!!! After waiting 50 mins for it. My mac and cheese still had unmelted cheese in it. I asked politely if waitress could stick in microwave and she actually brought it back colder!! Which led me to believe it was taken back, sat down and returned without heating. At that point, I became upset as my mashed potatoes were cold too. I promised my daughter I'd just not say anything and I ended up bringing the food home to heat up. We spent 85 in total including a 15 dollar tip for nothing. She never gave us water or asked us if we wanted refills.. never checked back about the Mac and cheese or about anything. I'm just now tasting it after heating up at home and it certainly wasn't worth all I went through just to have it hot. Tasteless and weird consistency. Small portion for 5 dollars extra ( I has substituted the broccoli for the Mac and cheese on my plate). Good thing is , I really liked the salmon! Why give cold food? It makes zero sense why this happened!!!! Why bring back cold??? Thoughts? I took pics of it there at restaurant and on my plate home. Not much to it. At least I seasoned it up but still so bland. 🤷 you can see in the pic from restaurant the cheese on top is not melted and very dry tasteless noodles. I stuck my finger in after she brought it back and it was literally cold. And I hadn't even taken a bite..but look...

This restaurant doesn’t even deserve a star nor even close! Me and my family decided to go for our first time to this location! I’ll never ever attend this particular location as long as I live nor anyone I know! We ordered all you can eat wings and then a side salad! Bryan no last name given by the manager Mr. Rodriguez! The waiters service was terrible, no waiting at all! Told I couldn’t order more, waited all almost 15-20 minutes for anything to get done properly! I’ve never in my life been so insulted! From the lack of service from the waiter to be told don’t come back after the “manager” was told the service stunk! I’ll be honest the service is absolutely terrible at this location! I will be reporting the waiter to corporate promptly come Monday morning! There is no way I should ever be told not to come back to a restaurant and you still retain employment and continue your shift! The manager lacked concern and attention to the situation! Apparently I haven’t been the only to receive such disgusting service! Your staff should definitely be observed better before serving any nationality! My experience at this restaurant definitely doesn’t deserve any review and corporate needs to get involved to correct this location! So I have to give a star? This particular restaurant doesn’t deserve that!!! I’ll definitely be reporting this store...
