Filippo's Pizzeria & Grill — Restaurant in Glassboro

I can't even begin to express how disappointing their customer service was. A mistake was made on my family's end. There's no trying to deny that and there never was. How it was handled by this pizzeria was so wrong. Food was delivered to a wrong address (yes we had accidentally mistaken the last number) and instead of calling our cell phone beforehand after the recipients had made it clear it wasn't their food, they dropped off the food to strangers and left our information on the receipts. It was then at the honesty of the family that had received our food and my family to make sure it got to the correct address NOT the pizzeria.. My mom was laughed at by the female manager on the phone, who had refused to try to understand our perspective. That's all we wanted. We just wanted someone to genuinely understand where we were coming from, apologize, and they would have repeat customers. This lady argued with my mom about how she was wrong and would not take any responsibility for a wrongdoing on the pizzeria's behalf in any capacity. When I spoke to the owner, he claimed that "the customer is always right" but then continued making the same remarks as the female manager. What's disappointing is instead of standing by the statement of their customers coming first, they were rude and did not care to handle it properly. After finishing a meeting in Glassboro, I searched for a place to get a couple of slices. Filippo’s came up and the pictures looked great so off I went.

Now, I have to say when pulling into the parking lot I wondered if it was same establishment?

“This is the place that makes that pizza? “

Well, I’m so happy I went in because the pizza was KILLER !! Like no joke, real deal, top quality pizza.

I went with the Grandma pie at first. Crispy fresh and light with a hint of char. (Bonus points) the sauce, cheeses, and the dough were perfect in my opinion. I easily ate two big slices and considered a third it was so good! I decided to try a slice of the classic round pie to see if the quality was across the board and it was! Again, thin, fresh and crispy (which I love) all the components working so well together. A really good slice. 👏🏼👏🏼

This past July my husband and I had Filippo's cater for our wedding. We had about 190 guests who attended so having plenty of food within our budget was a priority. Filippo's not only worked within our budget, but went above and beyond to ensure that the food would perfectly match our needs. They sat down with us and outlined many different entrée options as well as sides and food for cocktail hour. The family environment at Filippo's was a wonderful experience and made catering completely stress-free. We are so grateful for the extra care they took to oversee even little details like the aesthetic in the way the food was presented.
