Rick’s Banh Mi - Pho District — Restaurant in Glen Burnie

Where do i begin?! I know where you should begin! Begin heading there ! Lol

I have told my clients down to my family who come to town to visit me often about this place and we love us a good Vietnamese meal!

We grew up eating it.

The excitement alone of having a Bahn mi (Vietnamese Hoagie) spot in Glen Burnie had me eager to try it! Typically id have to travel 30 mins out of his area to get one!

But let me start by telling you about their bread for Rick's bahn mi, it is a winner compared to the other banh mi areas i have tried somewhat close to this area. The outside of the bread has a crisp and the inside has a soft fluffy texture that just melts with the other ingredients inside the sandwich. They understood the assignment to make a good bahn mi!

Eating a good banh mi always starts with the bread first. Their bread is delicious! I ordered their banh mi "cold hoagie" along with their grilled pork hoagie sided it with their iced coffee. The best experience to eat a bahn mi is to eat it fresh after it is made!

The size of the hoagie is good. Their hoagies and drink was fresh, delicious and refreshing! Chefs kiss! I will be making many more visits ^-^

Me and partner have been waiting for a banh mi place to open up around here, and Rick’s didn’t disappoint!

My partner is viet, so when she says the banh mi tastes like grandma’s, you know it’s good.

Just had the grilled pork and my partner had the đặc biệt with extra mayo and pâté

The bread had the perfect amount of crunch on the outside and fluff on the inside

The veggies and herbs were crisp and refreshing

The meat was tasteful and blended in for the perfect well rounded meal on the go

I should also say the Thai tea was super refreshing—creamy and sweet but not too sweet or overpowering like a lot of sugary drinks we have here in America

All in all this is probably my new standard/go-to sandwich here in Glen Burnie.

Can’t wait to try some other items on the menu, I hope y’all will give them a try!

First time trying Rick's Banh Mi & More, we ordered the Special Cold Cut Banh and the Grilled Chicken Taco along with the Veggie Fried Spring Rolls and the Fried Spring Roll shrimp & chicken. By the way, we could not resist ordering the Thai Iced Tea and a Vietnamese Iced Coffee. All I can say is we will be back! I thoroughly enjoyed the Grilled Chicken Taco, the jalapeños were so fresh and perfect, along with the all the other fresh ingredients. Meat perfectly grilled and topped lightly with a flavorful sauce...delish😋 My husband said the flavor and balance of all ingredients on his sub were perfect, and he said he would rate it a 5 star sub and reorder again. I must say that the gentleman who took our order tonight was super friendly and answered our questions and knew the menu and ingredients very well. Definitely a spot worth trying out.
