I went into Seaside Carry-Out at approximately 6:30 pm to order female crabs. I asked the girl working the counter if they were any specials and she stated "No". I order 2 dozen females $25.00 paid and waited and waited and waited. I overheard another women talking about their special on female crabs,(3 dozen for $35.00)so again, I go to the counter and inquiry about their special, which by the way, was in big red letters on their sign and the girl simply stated she forgot about that special. Okay, so I added another dozen to my order for a total of $35.00. I waited and waited and watched people come and go, who did not call in thier orders so again I inquired as so what was going on?: At this time approximately an hour into my wait, I'm told by another employee, oh, we sold out of the special about 20 minutes ago, really, why did no one bother to inform me? Young adults running the show! So, I was told that I would be compensated with 2 dozen "small" males for the 2 dozen medium females, hm, do the math on that one! I said forget it, I have been here over an hour and would like to see the manager. What a waste of time that was, basically he explained that it takes 20 minutes to steam crabs, I am assuming by my wait time they steam on a one by one basis. Other than that he simply half assed an apology and I informed him I would never be back. So be aware, if you stop to order crabs without calling them in, you are going to have a wait, could be a very long wait, because they steam them on a order basis. I have ordered from Shoreline Seafood for many years and have never had to wait an hour for my crabs, even when I just walked in. I would recommend Shoreline Seafood for prompt, courteous and efficieny. I would bet Seaside will not be in business to much longer with that kind of treament towards customers.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS...
Read moreUpdate: Seaside is still my go to for crabs and almost never let me down. I had crabs from them this past weekend and hands down the best batch EVER! 😋 My only complaint is the new young blonde Caucasian girl working the front could use some customer service training. The last two times I've come in you would think we were getting free handouts. Her communication skills are very distasteful. There was an issue with my online order but THANKFULLY Daysha spell check was present and stepped in saving my experience and assisting with correcting my issue. She was super friendly and professional. I was very pleased with how she handled things especially considering I am a FREQUENT customer.
So far I've only had one batch I wasn't happy with and I go at least 2 or 3 times a month. The crabs are usually heavy and meaty. The butter they carry is something from heaven 😋 and adds a delicious touch to crabs and shrimp. I highly recommend Seaside and the prices are fair for...

Friendly and professional staff. I ordered a half and half crab soup b3cause I love it and I knew it would be amazing.
Meh. But don't let me hold you. The MD crab soup and the cream of crab don't NEED each other to be great. The MD crab is its own soup. Bursting with flavor. It's what you think when you think md crab soup. No tag ins or cosigning needed. Solid 4 stars soup.
Now the cream of crab is a bit of a conundrum. Like where to put your mind. Some people like their crab of cream loosey goosey soup with no bones or weight to it. It's basically hot cream with crab and parsley OR you like that elmers glue paste soup that you can also use to paper mache (that's how old I am. Who remembers paper mache? Lol).
This cream of cram sits in the middle of those two. Not too flavorful but loaded with crab meat and slightly thick. Meh. I wouldn't order it again.
I'll definitely be back to try the awesome crab and...
