Here we go again. I grab something out once or twice a week. Times are tough with inflation. 2 bags of groceries is 140 bucks so it's special to eat out for me. First bite of their pastrami I knew we had trouble -big thick pieces of fat. The kind that when you take a bite and pull away it's like its tied to the sandwich and you yank away and the fat finally snaps off. So I try a bite on the other side same thing. I hate opening the sandwich to see how bad it is but another waste of hard earned cash (and costs more these days) I still would rather pay a little more or have a smaller Lean pastrami with quality meat. Sure times are tough and maybe they are cutting costs on a cheaper fattier cut of pastrami but ruined another lunch. Yes last months pastrami was decent but never used to be hit or miss years ago

Felt like a Pastrami today they used to be a good lean pastrami not always the best taste like premium pastrami in LA but close by but last few times they have had so much fat. I'm talking when your kinda hungry and take too big of bite so you swallow part of it before the rest but then you feel something in your throat. And before you gag you pull some pastrami out of your mouth and the stringy fat pulls up the pastrami halfway down to your stomach! And then there's the mustard ! I would not assemble a sandwich like that. Ether not enough or way too much. Assemble the sandwhich the way you would if your making yourself one for a meal I pulled out the fat and made half a sandwich but didn't have the flavor. If i need to cut costs I would make a smaller sandwich with the same good quality pastrami not get a cheaper cut with tons of fat...

The food is below average compared to other eateries near by. I would know because I have lived in the area since 1995 sometimes stopping by and hoping there won’t be any issues this time. The breakfast menu is pretty awesome and priced so with the amount of food you get as far as the platters go. Can’t say nothing good about their burritos and tacos though. I love the pastrami sub with fried zucchini. The burgers don’t compare to "In and Out" a block away. The problems I have with Everest are too many to list but number one is the rudeness at the drive window and long waits. Today I watched my order at the window thrown together from other orders after a 7 min wait for large chili cheese fries and shake. I saw my shake made right about the time I drove up to the window and it sat there till I finally received my fries as I was the only vehicle in line until it started backing up 8 cars deep. I could see the heads bobbing with inquiry. The window clerk seemed to ignore me when she gave me my change and I nicely asked what happened? She said,” well it has to be cooked right?” Ok, just another stop at Everest. What happened was my order was lost within minutes and she didn’t want to own up to it. That’s why I saw fries taken from another order. Another issue is people coming up and asking for change when eating outside...

Here's the tea...

There was a morning before work where I actually worked out :) and after working out all I wanted was a breakfast burrito.

I make delicious breakfast burritos but recently trader joe's has not been able to restock their hashbrowns #hashbrowncrisis. So I decided to venture out and try a local breakfast burrito

I've heard Everest is great and it's close to me so I gave it a try. The place was busy - ladies who breakfast enjoying their morning together, a couple father and son groups, various trademens on their way to and from work as well as some families. The mix of people intrigued me and felt like a sign that this place caters to a lot of different taste. Saw a lot of take away orders too. Very Very promising.

Then I saw it, something I haven't seen before - a pastrami breakfast burrito. I have never thought of that combination in my life, I couldn't wait to try it. Then I found out you could add bacon.

A BACON PASTRAMI BREAKFAST BURRITO.

That my yelp community is 5/5 must try, I can't wait to get up in the morning and have another one.

By the way, breakfast burritos are served all day.

There is a reason this place still stands even with an in-n-out just a couple blocks away.

5/5 - Run. BACON. PASTRAMI. BREAKFAST. BURRITO. with...

Avoid ordering from this restaurant, especially through their website. They claim someone from Uber Eats was going to deliver but it was someone not from Uber Eats. We never used Uber Eats for the order. They failed to give the driver my full order and refused to provide any assistance. Instead, they insisted we contact Uber Eats, even though that wasn’t the real issue. It’s a complete scam—we paid for an entire meal but only received a burger. I think they do this on purpose to rip customers off. Then to make things worse, the burger they delivered made me violently ill. I felt very sick after eating it. We used to order from this place a lot but will never do so again. Absolutely terrible service and disgusting food!

You can still get reasonable value AND size at Everest. But it can be hit or miss PRO: - Portions were huge! - Charbroiled taste! - Good pastrami - Love love love the deep fried mushrooms CON: - I do wish my burger had more lettuce & toms (the other one had a good amount). - Burger was dry more than once SUMMARY: We couldn't finish it all and we were hungry Paid $27 for: - Double cheeseburger - Burger - Large mushroom/zucchini fries combo - Large drink
