I'd like to start off by saying how much I appreciated the way the menu is categorized by meat and vegetable options. It made choosing what to order much easier since we could quickly decide based on our preferred base, which kept us from feeling lost in the menu.
I ordered the PHB, and I'm literally salivating as I write this. I already love salmon, but this burrito took it to another level--the combination of salmon, cream cheese, and avocado was incredibly creamy and satisfying. It came with a sauce that had a refreshing, slightly lemony ponzu tang, which paired perfectly with the richness of the burrito.
Our burritos were generously stuffed with protein, making them both hearty and savory. This is such a great meal option because there aren't many protein-dominant choices when eating out. These burritos are not only filling but also super convenient to eat, which is a huge plus. I also really appreciated that you could choose how to have the burritos cut, making them easy to enjoy individually or to share.
The service was also great. Everyone was very accommodating, and kind.
Overall, I loved it. This place is definitely my...
Read moreWe first had a chance to try this when they catered my brother's picnic a few years back. Since then we've been trying to catch their truck but to no avail. Finally we caught up w/ them at their restaurant and man, they had so much more to offer. We ordered what we initially had which was the Dragon plus a new entree and some appetizers. We got the Champion (just look up the filling) which might very well be our new favorite. We also got the jalapeno, the spam musubi and the deep fried slices of California roll. The jalapeno was good and the musubi was one of the better versions we've had w/ the perfect ratio or rice to spam and a little sauce in between. But the deep fried Cali roll was a pleasant surprise with that nice crunch on the outside and the soft inside. Reminds me so much of an Arancini. Try the place at least once. Let's support small Mom and pops businesses like these that put out good quality food...
Read moreI’ve been enjoying this food for almost a decade now. I remember the first time a saw their food truck on Ventura Blvd in Encino. They had me at burrito. Ever since, their food has become so important in my life. The fish is so fresh and has such a unique flavor. Anywhere else just doesn’t do it for me anymore. The salmon sashimi is amazing.
The skills of the chefs really show in the food and is an experience you can’t have anywhere else. I consider the owners great friends. I would be sad if I couldn’t enjoy their food. I recommend them to anyone reading this review. You will not be unsatisfied.
And to anyone who leaves bad comments about this place and the food, their are definitely cynical and were having a manic episode that day. The owners are the sweetest most kind people. Love you guys!...
