La Purisima Bakery is a hidden gem for those seeking authentic and delectable treats. From the moment you step inside, the aroma of freshly baked goods fills the air, enticing you to explore their mouthwatering offerings.

The bakery boasts a wide array of traditional pastries and bread, each crafted with care and attention to detail. The flavors and textures transport you to the streets of Mexico, where these delicacies originated. From sweet conchas and flaky empanadas to savory bolillos and fluffy tres leches cakes, every bite is a burst of pure delight.

What sets La Purisima Bakery apart is its commitment to quality ingredients and time-honored recipes. The baked goods are made from scratch, ensuring an authentic taste that keeps customers coming back for more. The staff members are warm and knowledgeable, happy to guide you through their selection and offer recommendations based on your preferences.

The ambiance of the bakery is cozy and inviting, with cheerful colors and displays that showcase the irresistible treats. The prices are reasonable, allowing you to indulge without breaking the bank. Whether you're stopping by for a quick snack or stocking up for a special occasion, La Purisima Bakery caters to all your cravings.

I am a sales rep for a Phoenix based company. I used to live in Phoenix for over 25 years but I am from Austin, Texas. I try to place an order for a large cake with La Purisima Bakery, when I did call, a lady over the phone answer with very unpleasant and annoying voice, telling me that I could not purchase a cake over the phone, because I must placed the order in person and she was not able to take my credit card over the phone, I said it was impossible because I am in Texas but I need to order a large cake for the company anniversary celebration, to make the long story short, they did not took my order. I still can't believe that they let go a solid transaction go due their arkaik rules, It seems to me that they are operating like if we were in the 80's, or worst in beginning of century 20! the girl that answer the phone was very rude. The main reason I call them is because I do like their bread and for many years I was their customer, now I am still looking for a bakery that can take my order by phone in Phoenix, again, this is for a well established company in Phoenix, which is very easy to check, besides, the use of a credit card to make transactions all over the world has been established for over teens of years!!! Horrible service!! This is last time we are considering this business for future bread purchases. Not only that they are going to lose my co-workers in Phoenix as well, of course I will tell them my experience with this Bakery for sure!! So long La Purisima, two...

Had an extra day added to our trip to Phoenix so my husband and I made sure we got to La Purisima Bakery before we headed back home.

This place is totally worth the hype!

It was a Tuesday afternoon at around 2:00 p.m. but there was still a line outside. A good indicator for sure.

They were so so many options inside and we had no idea what to go for. I looked up the must try foods at Mexican bakeries and made a short list.

Pumpkin Empanada was lovely! I thought it would have a crispy outside but it was more soft. It went really well with the filling. Filling was not super sweet or anything. Just a really good bake.

Chocolate Concha was so soft and fresh and light! Since it was so big I thought it would have some weight to it but it was actually really soft and light. Like cloud bread? It stayed fresh even the next morning. So nice to buy it into and we could have had more for sure.

The Flan was addictive! Some of the best flan my husband and I have ever had. Soft and silky and perfectly sweet. I didn't have it with the whipped cream on the side because I preferred it plain. Husband liked it both ways.

Had to get some of those Mexican Piggy Cookies aka Marranito because this is Christmas season right now. Sweetness was just right, and subtle gingerbread flavor came through as well. Had this 3 days later and it was still soft and really good....

I heard about this place. It is definitely a must try. There’s usually a line, but that’s ok because there’s too much to choose from. While you wait your turn, it’s time to make some tough decisions: a highly addictive molasses-flavored cochinitos, the giant pink cookies shaped like pigs, or an apple dipped in salty sweet chocolate chamoy sauce? How about some soft, freshly made tortillas, or a dozen green and red chile tamales made with pork, cheese, roasted red pepper, and corn? Not to mention burritos also. The panderia also has a wide selection of pan dulce, plain but delicious sweet buns that are perfect to enjoy with a cup of coffee in the morning... I have to tell you. I LOVE FOOD, you need to buy some tamales, take them home and grille them. They come out with crunch...fire
