Gigi's Trail Star Cafe — Restaurant in Glendive

I ordered a the steak and eggs. The steak was awful. No seasoning at all. I was later informed by a coworker that you have to ask for seasoning? I've never in my life had to ask for seasoning on a steak at any restaurant. The waitress only asked how I wanted it cooked. Said nothing about how I wanted it seasoned. If this is common practice at your establishment, you might want to train your staff properly to ensure there's no more confusion or update your menu to say seasoned to taste or something along those lines instead of grilled to you liking as it makes one think of how you want it cooked, not how you want it seasoned

Edit 04/30/24: The waitress this day was horrible. She acted like we didn't matter and she didn't want to be there. Never checked on us once. Had to get up to ask for boxes and the check and was told to give her a minute because she was busy doing receipts. Absolutely horrible customer service to the point we didn't leave a tip. Not very busy during a late lunch about 2pm. Hash brown's were not cooked thoroughly, other than that the meal was fine. Have never had a good experience here and no response from...

once upon a time this was one of my favorite, then the prices started going up hours of operation getting shorter bad service food portions getting smaller. it got to the point where i quit coming here. .today i thought i would give them a try, hoping things could have gotten better. i walked in there. staff comoletely ignored me several tables dirty. there was one clean table empty in the corner. i sat down there and then one of the staff hollered at me that someone was sitting there fair enough. she ignored me after that so i walked out!! but you should sit people down as they come in and clean tables so customers have a place to go. she never offered me a different place to sit. thats funny! i have to do the job im paid to do or i wouldnt have a job. why is it any different here?? no! this was the very last time i tried this place. i will go to fast food better price much faster service and all in all better treatment. this is the very reason why little restaurants are dying and closing one after another.... you dont want my money? fine! you ll never see me...

It was ok. We had a pancake with bacon and oatmeal. The pancake was below average and overpriced. The oatmeal was pretty good, with enough portions to feed the family, price was great. I’m pretty jaded though - I get annoyed when restaurants specify Maple Syrup on the menu and instead bring table syrup that is made from corn, not trees. They did bring two different bottles of high fructose corn syrup - one “regular” and one colored purple they called “boysenberry”.

This cafe is connected directly to a convenience store, casino and truckers lounge on the other side of the building. Service was ok, they only had one server and one cook on staff, if it was busier they would have been overwhelmed. They did their best under the circumstances. There might be better places to eat...
