Oh I love going here. Food is top-notch and tastes so good. Just as good as the stuff my grandma used to make us as. Kids. You can't go wrong with their taquitos with guacamole n cheese. Best things to add or try are the guacamole, rice and the beans. Any one of these 3 items will make your plate. It's so good. I can live off their bean and cheese burritos which I probably do. Nice drink selection. From fountain drinks, bottles or cans. No alcohol tho. That's a good thing. The staff is always friendly and courteous and kind. Having to buy 'take out' for a spouse who formerly a floating manager for a chain of Mexican/ American fast food restaurants has been a real difficulty. We have tried many but she was often disappointed or they all the way across town or went out of business. Fortunately we tried Don Alfonso's which is only a few blocks from our house. This is like the other menu items of fast Mexican food that are in the area. Places like Alberto's and other similar names have basically the same menu and foods that are limited by the recipe for the preparation. Substituting for omitting certain ingredients is not going to be permitted. Still tastes okay, but it is getting kind of boring if you know what I mean. You can go into a Don Alfonso's in Glendora and get the very same tasting and recipe beef burritos plate as you can if you went to a Alberto's in La Habra.
