I recently dined at Pamela’s and unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. Despite the promising ambiance and appealing location, the main course food left much to be desired. The restaurant boasts a stylish and modern decor, creating a sophisticated environment. The lighting is warm, and the layout is inviting, making it a great place for a meal. However, the atmosphere couldn't quite compensate for the culinary disappointments that followed. I ordered a burger and fries which should’ve been simple right? But, what arrived was a lackluster representation of what a good burger should be. The patty was somehow medium rare as asked but the outside tasted completely burnt. I didn’t finish it thinking it was just me and decided to eat it later in my room. Unfortunately, even cold, it still ended up burnt tasting. Leaving a lack of what one hopes for in a burger. It comes topped with many things but NO sauce of any kind making it a little dry(I hate ketchup so that isn’t an option for me). While weary, I ordered dessert, The peach cobbler I ordered is a must try for anyone. It encapsulates the essence of a classic dessert while showcasing quality ingredients and preparation(however 2 scoops of ice cream was a little unnecessary and made it soggy,I would’ve asked for only one scoop had I known). Despite any shortcomings in the main course during my visit, this dessert truly redeemed the meal and left a lasting impression. The service was friendly and the staff was attentive however, I hope to see improvements in the kitchen, as this restaurant has the potential to shine with the right culinary direction. For now, I would recommend exploring other dining options in the area.

We were a little nervous about dining at Pamela's based on recent reviews, but our experience was wonderful. It was a Saturday evening, and we found the tables to be more comfortable than the booths. We chose to sit inside due to the heat wave, but they also have a very nice patio. The sun was bright through the curtains and mirrors on the back wall for about 20 minutes, as we faced northwest, before it went behind the mountains. Once the sun set, the view improved significantly, allowing them to open the curtains and offer an even better ambiance. For our meal, we ordered the lamb chops, lobster mac n’ cheese, mashed potatoes as sides, a ribeye, and scallops. Everything was cooked to perfection—medium rare for the steak—and there were no issues with the quality of the meat. Every dish was incredibly delicious. Our favorites were the lamb chops, steak, and lobster mac n’ cheese. We found the prices to be comparable to other fine dining establishments across the country. Our waiter was attentive and took excellent care of us—offering extra butter, refilling drinks, and accommodating our requests with ease. The portion sizes were generous enough that most entrees could be shared, but overall, we found both the food and service to be outstanding.

Recommended. Enjoyed our dinner at Pamela's. Service was attentive without being disruptive, and pleasant without being cloying. An ok number of menu items, I expect most people will find a least one or more items compelling. Food was very good, but perhaps a little overpriced (what isn't these days?) I can't recall ever ordering meatloaf in a restaurant...but their's sounded interesting (a mix of bison and another meat I don't recall), and it was very good. I would order that again. My wife enjoyed the beet/arugula salad with salmon as an add-on. The peach cobbler was served very, very warm with ice cream...wow, excellent. As this restaurant is in the Polaris Hotel/conference center, I'm guessing it is where guests have breakfast. The decor has a modern vibe. June 2025 Update: Father's Day Brunch. Arrived early, so we were the only ones in the restaurant at first. Food was very good again...particularly the special eggs benedict with wagyu beef. Service was great mostly. We ordered the featured dessert when we ordered the entree, but for some reason we waited quite a while for it to arrive after they cleared our entree plates. The place was not very busy by then, so not sure what caused the wait. Fortunately we were not in a hurry.

I made two trips: first and last.

Pros: service (always attentive and professional), wine selection Cons: food that was extraordinarily sub par (not even rising to the level of marginal!)

We dined with another couple and didn't want to cause a commotion, so we tried to stomach what we were served and make the best of it. For the four of us, we paid over $400 total for a dining experience that we could have experienced at the dining facility (minus the wine, of course!).

My partner had the 10-oz tenderloin and I had the 16-oz ribeye. We had side dishes while also having accompanying sauces. The tenderloin (ordered medium) was overcooked and lacked any flavor (which is hard to do with a tenderloin since it can almost always stand by itself). The ribeye (ordered medium rare) was horrendous; it was small, thin (flat as a pancake), fatty, and not anywhere near 16 ounces. I've honestly had better steaks while deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. I put salt and pepper on it to try to extract some type of flavor, and I never season anything at the dinner table! I have no issue with natural juices from the steak being on the plate, but the expo/server never should have presented my steak with the juices already dried on the plate. The visual presentation was 1 on a scale of 10.

The sides were almost completely unremarkable (the mushrooms were good; the other sides were absolutely devoid of anything that would be considered "upscale" dining). The sauces tased like something out of a bottle.

I had decent expectations for this dinner given the buzz about Hotel Polaris around town. However, those expectations were cruelly dashed. There are many other places in town in which I'd rather...

Absolutely terrible. We waited 30 minutes before our server came to our table, we had been sitting for 40 minutes before we got bread. The drinks we ordered were an old fashion and a dirty martini which were horrible and tasted watered down. We spoke with the manager Jessica, who offered a wine list but never came back to ask what we wanted. We got the bone marrow as an appetizer…after waiting another 35 minutes and asking someone to check on it. Once we got the appetizer one of the bone marrows had absolutely nothing in it. We ordered a side of carrots, which after 30 minutes of ordering they came back and told us they were out…. They offered other sides which we declined, they did bring out a complimentary side of a corn ravioli which was okay. Pasta was a bit underdone and the sauce was a bit watered down. When we finally got our entree which was a bison ribeye, it was good. It was seasoned well and cooked fine. The manager did come back and try to remedy the situation which we appreciated however this was one of those experiences that just could not be fixed. There is no coming back from a complete disaster like this. Also our waitress did not come back to check on us in the time we spoke to the manager the first time…over an hour. Good luck to all that choose...
