Prior to booking I looked at the reviews. Some bad, some good. Our experience was great. The staff was pleasant, friendly, helpful. Our room had no issues as stated in some reviews. It was a nice size room clean and comfortable. The queen size bed was very comfy, with a recliner to watch TV. The room includes TV, open closet, iron and ironing board, wash basket, hair dryer and full length mirror. In every room is a nice kitchenette. Mainly for long term guests, which they get often. My only negative review is there is no kitchen essentials, like dishes pots and pans etc. Basically the kitchen is for the long term guests who can rent these essentials. We could not hear anyone in the next rooms or walking above us. No barking dogs were heard either as this is a pet friendly hotel. They have free wi-fi and a computer in the lobby as well. The lobby also offers snacks, drinks and fresh coffee for sale. The hotel is easy to find, located just off Interstate 25. Various restaurants and gas stations are near by. This was a perfect location as our destination was just down the street. We very much enjoyed our stay and highly recommend My Place Hotel.

Genuinely felt like a home base on our long trip. Cozy, comfortable, spotlessly clean, full sized fridge, tiny stovetop, and a tiny shop in the lobby for snacks and microwave meals. Staff was excellent, every employee we met was happy to help and happy in general. You could tell the job treats them well. For a right-off-the-highway stop, our ground floor view was still breathtaking?? We could see Cathedral Rock, the mountains, and part of, I believe, the USAF Academy. I've never picked a hotel for the view much less paid extra for one, but this was gorgeous. The area is still being developed, so potentially this view will be obstructed by other businesses soon. Not highly relevant, but late at night our neighbors in the next room cooked something that smelled fantastic when we entered the hallway. They brought their own cookware, we happened to have our own dishware and eating utensils, so this is a good place for practical travelers. We loved this place so much we did our best to clean up after ourselves because it was so nice when we came in!

10-14-2023 one Queen bed. Finally, a hotel that doesn't make me pay for a breakfast I won't eat! I was happy with everything in my room. The queen bed was comfortable, the lighting was bright (for makeup), the A/C was responsive to temperature changes and quiet, the tub drained, there was a full length mirror, the coffee maker worked, the fridge was large,... The young woman who checked me in wasn't the best as she gave me my keys and said, "Your room is on there". No it wasn't. I showed it to her and she realized she forgot to write it on the paper key holder. In any case she should have told me my room number and how to get to it, not just handed me the keys and let me figure it out. The hotel itself was perfect. There's a nearby Starbucks if that's your thing. Oh, and I really appreciated the brightly lit parking area. I drove my Acura NSX and was looking out my window to make sure it was okay. :-D

UPDATE: Changed my 1 star review to a 3 star- I spoke with Catherine this afternoon and she finally issued a refund for us. She was very polite and easy to work with. While I’m happy to have our money back, I hope in the future they place someone in charge who can take care of matters like this when the manager is away instead of leaving customers hanging. This was an incredibly stressful situation for us to be in another state with such little funds and I hope it doesn’t happen again in the future.

We booked a reservation for this hotel through a third party. Something came up and we had to cancel several weeks in advance. When we called MyPlace to cancel we were told to do so through our third party which we did. Fast forward several weeks later to the first day of our vacation- I woke up to a charge on my account for the entire duration of the stay ($439.75 worth). When I called them about reimbursing me for the charge because I had proof and a confirmation email of cancellation they told me I needed to contact my third party because they did not send in the cancellation on time. So I called the third party, spoke to 3 different agents and the manager and they assured me they did all they could have done on their end and in the end, MyPlace was the one who needed to reimburse me since they were the ones who charged. I called MyPlace back again and they claimed that the third party was the one at fault and not them- basically turning this into a "he-said, she-said".My biggest issue with MyPlace was their manager was out on vacation and wouldn't be in the building for 4 days which means (according to them) there was not a single person in the building who could have helped me with my problem. My bank even offered to dispute the charge for me as long as they would send them a fax saying they could not settle the charge. MyPlace STILL refused to send them a fax saying "only our manager can do that."This is UNACCEPTABLE.My husband and I were out on vacation in CO at this time and were very reliant on that money. Without it we were not able to do most of the things we traveled out here to do and frankly- ruined our vacation. I'm sure the hotel is beautiful, clean, nice and I always prefer to do my business in a local establishment. But I will NEVER. recommend a hotel that REFUSES to reimburse their customers despite evidence of them properly cancelling within the policy limit. Horrible, HORRIBLE,...

I have Worked in the hotel industry for many many years starting with room service at the Hyatt, housekeeping at the Omni and a tram driver at the Omni. My sister currently works at the Ritz Carlton and my mother for 20 years was a concierge for multiple high-end hotels. Every staff member at my place is absolutely wonderful and helpful except for management. When checking out and checking back in for another night had to wait 15 minutes holding my baby while she checked in other people in front of me because the manager let a staff member take the money drawer key on her smoke break. After waiting 15 minutes the manager went out the front door and yelled repeatedly across the parking lot for the employee with the key. I suppose the manager thought I was going to wait for the employee to come back from her smoke break so I could check in again. That is unacceptable and extremely unprofessional. The next day I was bringing my sleeping baby in the hotel in his car seat she saw he was sleeping and it seems as if she was purposely being loud just to wake him up. She succeeded my life was miserable that day from that point on. Also your coffee needs to be a lot darker it looks and taste like tea. Personally I would give Megan The opportunity to prove herself as management she was the most helpful and experienced person at the hotel. She could without a doubt run My Place Hotel more Efficiently than the woman that you currently have as manager. Upper Management visited while I was there and I overheard them asking why the parking lot was empty your explanation is above. I was going to stay and talk to upper management but I was headed out to do other things. Your cleaning staff and front desk staff are absolutely amazing. Also if you’re not going to have a regular daily cleaning you should charge 20$ less for a night. Also during our Recent storm The manager lied to me and told me that she would have the power back on within the hour That she had someone working on it. I do not appreciate being lied to. If she had simply told me that she had contacted the power company and that they were working on it and that she was sure that they would have it up by the end of the day that would’ve made me a lot happier than...

Absolutely atrocious GM. My husband's medications were stolen and she has done NOTHING, going far enough to say that I couldn't prove it. I requested that they review security footage. Nothing. The description of the woman that entered my room was "not a person on their staff." Exceptionally unprofessional.

This is what happened: A Hispanic woman knocked on the door Friday afternoon (June 22nd, 2019), holding several towels in her hands, saying that "someone told her this room needed towels and trash." We had been out all day, I was dead tired, so it didn't register to ask WHO had told her we needed service. My husband and I sat down on the bed while she went into the bathroom. She did take the trash, however no dirty towels on the floor were removed. Nothing else.

So someone else had been in the room while we were gone. My husband only noticed the next morning when he went to take his medications. Only select pills were removed. The blood thinners, heart medication, and allergy meds all remained in his pill organizer.

Here's what I gather: Someone on their staff is giving a cohort a universal key so they can case the rooms. With how lackadaisical the GM acts, I would not be surprised if she were in on it.

I called corporate and all they did was refer to me back to the local GM. They musn't care about their brand's image.

Please take your valuable business elsewhere. No one I know or work with will ever stay here. EVER.

Tiny bonus: The kitchenette sink was clogged too. Thanks...
