El Porton Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Glenwood

Good food and service. We started with the Choriqueso Cheese dip which was really good. The complimentary chips and salsa were also good. The salsa wasn’t spicy, but still had good flavor. For meals, we ordered carnitas, fajitas Jalisco and the kids mac and cheese with fries. Everything we ordered was good and served timely. The fries with the kids meal were a little different (shape/seasoning), but we really liked them. I tried a regular lime margarita on the rocks and thought it was ok. I decided to try the El Porton margarita which was better. They definitely had tequila in them, but both were too sour for me. I’m not sure if they use a mix or not. I went here a few weeks back. Kinda new to the Council Bluffs and Omaha area, and got recommended to this place. If I had the ability to, I'd recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing, good tasting bite to eat. They're not too expensive on the wallet, but for the money that you spend, you get your bang for your bucks worth of food, even some leftovers for tomorrow's lunch, or that same night's dinner, in the case of a lunch time stop in. Overall food was delicious, service was excellent, and can't wait to stop in there again. My wife and I went Sunday for a lunch date, first ones in the door and greeted by every employee. Food was exactly what you would think of at a Mexican restuarant, seems they all have the same menus just different name on the front, food was very tasty. Customer service was amazing making this a 5 star review. Sat my soda at the edge of the table and within seconds they were getting a refill, best I've ever seen in a long time....
