I went 25 minutes away from my way back home to check this place out, and I was not disappointed. This is a very local diner, that has been around since 1918 if I remember the sign correctly. The portions are HUGE and you can certainly find street parking available. I came in on a Sunday at 10 and was able to sit at the bar with my SO. We were immediately greeted and had our coffee and water in no time. I went with the corned beef hash, three eggs, toast, and two crispy hashbrowns. He got the croissant sandwich with ham. We also ordered a blueberry pancake to split because we had to see how large it was for ourselves. You do not see the plate haha. Both meals were awesome and the service made you feel like you've been coming here for years. Do yourself a favor and come in, have solid meal, and leave extremely full. You can also do takeout if you want!

Haven't been home for a while and wanted to check out George's breakfast since the new ownership. Usually I'd opt for the massive pancakes (we saw from another table are still true to style) or maybe a breakfast sandwich, but the smashed avocado jumped at me. Two poached eggs on caramelized onions, mushroom, tomato, smashed avocado and a fresh bed of spinach, drizzled with balsamic glaze, all piled on top of toast....my goodness it did not disappoint. Usually comes with bacon, too, but I don't eat meat so they easily excluded it. My hunny got the crab cakes benedict with the hash brown patties that George's has always served, still crispy and golden. His plate was hearty and delicious. We were heavily tempted for a martini to accompany the beautiful bar space, but decided to come back later to test that as well. A beautiful start to our day!!

Wow! I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! Rach was our server and she was lovely and attentive. My 5 year old didn't end up liking her cinnamon bun pancakes ( they were delicious, she is just picky) and Rach asked if it was ok to have the cooks whip up a chocolate chip one instead (no charge). I couldn't believe it! My party also ordered eggs Benedict which was perfectly done, a Mexican omlet, and the loaded avocado toast. Everything was incredible and we will be sure to go back next year.

The weekly specials brought us in. This was our second visit and it was just as good. The burgers are huge and come with plenty of fries. The weren't too greasy and didn't make me feel heavy and yucky after either. The sticker sheets and scene really impressed me, we did it together as a family while we waited. I appreciate the little details. Good job
