To save time and aggravation on mother's Day, I ordered pizza delivery. Pretty hungry, since I hadn't eaten since breakfast, ordered at quarter after 3:00 and told the pizza would get there by 3:45. At 4:30, I called Sal's to see what was going on. The toast delivery person had not shown up, and the woman I talked to had no idea when she would. I asked her to cancel my order. Not trusting her competence, since, as I said, no one had called me to update that there was no delivery person, I called toast at their 24-hour number. Their representative wanted me to sign in on a website, even though getting a delivery through toast from Sal's already required that I put in my personal information. The woman at toast told me they couldn't cancel it and I would have to do it at the store. Since my phone had just pinged that my pizza would actually get there at 5:00, not 3:45 as originally noted (did I mention that the woman at Sal's was telling me my pizza wouldn't be cold because it was in the warming oven? Does anyone like pizza that's been in a warming oven for hours?), I called Sal's again to make sure my order was canceled. Then it showed up on my driveway, 20 minutes before the order I had finally put in with my regular pizza place showed up. I will not be using Sal's or anyone that delivers through...
Read moreThis experience had a plethora of issues. I could not find a single silver lining. And at this point not only will I avoid this location but I will avoid the entire Sals chain. First off, I didn't even get to order fully. I ordered my pizza and waited for the attendant to put it into his computer, then he rushed me and told me to put my card in instead of letting me order my drinks and sides. But heres the real kicker. I ordered my pizza, watched them start stretching the dough. Hey guys. PRETTY sure if pizza dough hits the dirty dusty plaster ceiling tiles we should probably throw it away right? Did they? Nope! They put sauce on it and threw it right in the oven! The pizza was falling apart and even if i had wanted to eat it at this point I wouldn't be able to. On account of the toppings sliding off. Genuinely thing the health department needs to look into this place because nobody behind the counter seems capable of working in food service let alone proper...
Read moreI suggest not ordering for delivery. It will automatically use Door dash even if you don't have an account with them. My pizza was delivered down the street and when I informed driver it wasn't at my address she didn't even bring it to me which is her whole job. I had to walk down to the neighbors and take my pizza off there fron step. Don't be fooled Sal's does not have a contract with door dash and will take no responsibility.
As for the Pizza Mmm delicious. Thanks Sal's. Door dash...
