I know the Godfrey area has a ton of Mexican restaurants already, but I have to say, our family really enjoys this one! It has by far the BEST food we’ve had! Our service has been pretty good for a newly opened restaurant. There are some language barriers for some of the employees, but overall, they’re trying. We’ve eaten there 3x in the last 10 days because it’s sooooo good! Get the chicken delight ($12.99)-much like pollo zarape. The chicken has an excellent seasoning on it! They actually give you a good amount of chicken and cheese too! You do need to order flour tortillas with it as they do not come with it ($1.50 more). I also like how when you order their cheese dip ($4.75), you get more than most of the Mexican restaurants. Salsa is also good and you get this Tex mex spicy ranch dip with your chips too. Chips are crispy and thin. Soda is Coke products (my only dislike with this place so far). There are many items on the menu to try but so far we are stuck on the delight! The place has a good atmosphere to it and you can see how much detail they have put into making feel comfortable, clean and nice. Now, there is not a ton of room for waiting for a table but they do take down your phone number to call you. Margaritas were yummy too! I would definitely try this one if you haven’t yet! I’m glad to see a new Mexican restaurant open near where I live. Today was my first visit (1:45 pm on Saturday, 7/27/2024), and I am pleased to decide that I will become a return visitor. They have a drive-through in the parking lot, so if you want to take your food quickly to go and you don’t have to go inside the restaurant. Success in business partly depends upon the continued maintenance of high service standards; the service today was outstanding, and the quality of food was slightly above average when compared to similar restaurants in the area. It’s obvious that someone cared enough to invest properly in this new business because the interior is beautiful and the booth seats are even embroidered! The chandelier is stunning 🤩 The taste of my lunch portion (lunch is available daily until 3 m according to my server) chicken was perfect; my only teeny tiny concern was that with a lunch portion chicken fajitas, the chicken pieces are a bit small. If you have a big appetite, I would recommend the dinner portion. Even so, I still got really full for $13.99! I love tomatoes, and it tasted like they used a tomato-base when adding flavor to the meat & veggies in my dish. 😋They have Coke products to drink. We were stopping in this fabulous restaurant after we finished working in Godfrey. Wow, it was overflowing with people dining but we didn't have a long wait. Our waitress was very sweet and took great care of us. The food....wow, it was so very delicious! No complaints! The decor was beautiful and the music was interesting. It was mexican music put to American songs such as "Achy breaky heart" and "Rock around the clock". I would rather hear more authentic songs of Mexico but that's me, I love mexican music and cuisine together. Overall, it is a must go to restaurant and when we are in the area, we will be sure to stop in. You have a great restaurant, I wish you many years...
