I cant, just cant give this place more than 2 stars even though the food was good. This place is a health code violation, oh the flies so many flies and trash everywhere. We came here on a Saturday night when there was a band playing next door, so needless to say it was packed. First impression, super hot and small sitting area with flies everywhere and chaos. The checking out area was even more confusing but we finally put in our order, some people got a number some didnt. We walked in the room next door where there was "free beans" and salsa, again with lots of flies. We picked a spot to sit inside because the table outside that was empty was dirty and again TONS OF FLIES. So we sat and waited, and waited, and waited. About an hour. The poor workers there had trouble just figuring out who the order was for and had to yell names. Why dont they just give numbers to everyone? We moved outside because it was boiling hot inside. Honestly spent most of my time swatting away flies more than anything else. 20min into waiting we got our chips and queso. The queso tastes good but was a bit runny. And again had to keep swatting flies so it was hard to enjoy. We also discovered to-go orders take about 5minutes. So if we come back here we will get it to go. Anyways for food I got the tex-mex quesadellia with no meat and a ground beef taco. The quesadellia was very good but I was so grossed out about what I saw on the inside and was so full from eating chips I didnt eat much. According to my boyfriend the burrito he got was good and it would be worth the drive back. Somebody needs to come in and set some cleaning standards for this place, only then would I give it more stars. Moral of the story, just get it to-go. You won't waste an hour of your life swatting flies and you may actually get to enjoy the food without the visuals of where its coming from.

We were driving thru Godley on a Wednesday and stopped in at Del Norte Tacos for some lunch. The parking lot was empty so we were unsure if it was even open. A little confusing as to which door is actually the entrance but once inside you'll find a small area with chalkboard menu's on the wall. The prices are on the higher side for a place that sells tacos but it is what it is. The wife ordered one brisket taco ($6.99) and I ordered one chicken taco ($6.99) and one pork taco ($6.00). They are standard flour or double corn tortillas. Each taco did have a lot of meat so that was a plus. But I tasted the wife's brisket taco and there was no smoke flavoring in the meat. It was like the brisket was cooked in an oven. My pork and chicken tacos were okay but again at $6-$6.99 each you'd expect more. The beans and salsa are complimentary. No complimentary chips or other condiments like onions, pico or jalapenos. Queso or chips & salsa are $10 ea. BBQ sandwich is $19. House Burrito is $17+, Southwest Nachos are $16.79. Our bill for two lunches (3 tacos) with two teas was $33.53 after processing fee, tax & 15% tip. I felt the total bill was too high so I only tipped 15%. They do have an outdoor music venue stage setup and occasionally have live music. All in all I wasn't impressed with the prices and maybe that's why the parking lot was somewhat empty.

Unfortunately, the service is poor. The lady who took our order told us the total, left us the card machine and just walked away. We tipped her well and waited for her to come back, but she didn’t. She didn’t give us our drinks, get our names or give us a number. Another worker asked if we ordered, we said yes and then asked if we got a number. We said no… then proceeded to not give us one. I asked her if we need one and she said that hopefully she would recognize us. I stood by the counter for 5-10 minutes waiting on our drinks, my mom ended up going behind the counter herself to get it. I waited another 5 minutes to get a spoon because they were out. No one addressed me so I ended up asking the bartender. They asked us multiple times if we got a number after we sat down lol. The food is not what is used to be at all. You will find my $16 nachos in the picture. They weren’t busy at all for a Saturday night, just severely understaffed. I’ve been coming here for years but unfortunately won’t be back :/ Edit to add their old nachos for $12

We ate there for the first time tonight and we ceratinly were not disappointed. The combination of smoked meats, salsas, crema, queso, queso fresca and poblano rice that combine in various forms to make the fillings for the tacos, tortas, burrittos, quesedillas, etc etc is unique and tasty. In fact, they're very tasty. If you're looking for a tex-mex yellow cheese fix you're not going to find it here but that's no reason to pass it up. As much as I like the gloppy yellow cheese tex-mex I like this much better and at prices that beat most of the tex-mex places. Especially the high profile chains like Pappasitta's and Uncle Julio's that not only are expensive but wildly inconsistent and leaning mostly to the just plain bad side. In fact I stopped going to both places after some very disappointing meals.

The chile relleno is not what you expect to find when you order that item elsewhere (in fact you won't find any fried to order items like chile rellanos and chimichangas here) but rather a smoked poblano filled with your choice of meat, rice, beans, crema and queso fresca. It's topped with a sauce that is probably a concoction of crema and a touch of salsa. It was very flavorful and delicious. There is something called the rio grand burritto which also gives you a choice of meat (amongst the better ones we tasted beef fajita skirt steak and chipolte pork both marinated and smoked with a little char in spots like it was finished on the grill) stuffed into the burritto with the tasty poblano rice and acceptable burracho beans but most of the filling is your meat choice. It's topped with a combination of crema and queso fresca to which I added some of the excellent red and green hot salsas and some of their freshly made guacamole. This was also outstanding. We also had the Del Norte quesedillas which were more like half a soft taco wrapped around some of that skirt steak, onion and cilantro folded over and placed close together and finished with a squirt of crema and lime making them look like a giant sushi roll but man were they good. I think they were my favorite of the three things we tried. Everything that we saw pass by looked good and we were trying to guess what they were so we could try them on our next visit.

We went to the Godley location after trying the Cresson location first. We found out that the Cresson location on weekends is not open for dinner. We went to Godley not even knowing if they were going to be open but they were. They do have Lone Star in the can but most people bring their own. Godley is dry so pick up your libations before you get there. I'll...

If I could give negative stars I would. Last night we arrived at this location for the Red Clay Strays concert. The actual concert was to start at 7:30pm we arrived at 5:00pm. We had planned to get a good spot to see the band and eat prior to the event. While my husband went to get our group a table outside I ordered our dinner inside. The staff was in chaos not knowing where to go or who was to go where. I sat at a table for over an hour to get my “ to go”order. They do not serve you at the outside venue. Each time they ladies walked by me they would ask my name for my order, the same young ladies asked me my name over 5 times. I was given my drinks is at time of order at this point our drinks were warm. Finally after other customers started saying something the main lady that was bringing out the to go orders decided to figure out what was going on with my order. And I finally get my order The food was not worth the $24.00 that I paid with tip, we did nt even finish it. The bathrooms had 3 stalls, the toilets were struggling to flush to the point they stopped, toilet paper was out many of us had to use the paper towels. Some folks went behind buildings to relief themselves. The outside bar ran out of non Alcoholic drinks (water sprite coke) before the main band got on stage. After standing in line for 30 mins I was told by the bar keep I could go to the main building to see if they had water or anything else. Really? This venue was clearly not ready for a large crowd of people. The staff clearly isn’t prepared for large crowds either. Save your money folks and catch your favorite bands at some other place. A $20 concert ticket is not worth having to go thirsty and having to urinate behind a building. We will not return. Btw even band members were complaining about many things opening where customers could...
