Porter’s Grill — Restaurant in Godley

I ordered their bacon cheeseburger with a Jalapeño bun(up charge, well worth the $1.) which comes with porters sauce on the top bun and fries, ranch and a porter sauce on the side. The burger was juicy and flavorful, the bun wasn’t overly sticky as you’d expect from a Jalapeño bun, spice level more so on the mild side which to some isn’t a bad thing; gives a subtle hint of additional flavor., I’d rather eat here than Grumps. Improvements would be to the fries… however the crinkle cut fries were well seasoned they just didn’t pair well with the exceptional burger. If they were a potato cut(such as wing stop and cooked well done with garlic salt), waffle fry or had an option for thin crispy salted chips I’d appreciate that more than a limp seasoned salt fry they offered.

They also should really utilize their ranch dressing more than the porters sauce. By the end of my experience I had practically bottomed out the ranch over the porters sauce. Next item on the menu needs to be crispy chicken tenders(orginal, spicy or grilled). I’ve not seen grilled tenders at a restaurant before. I’d definitely order them.

Overall I’ll definitely be back to try their mushroom burger and spicy fried green beans, eventually their chicken sandwich.

Parking is also going to be an issue, might have to park at the tracks and walk across. Pleeease do not park next to the gorgeous red gt500. That car is the main/only reason I stopped to check porters out....

We’ve been coming recently for dinner and have had Aj as our server a few times. He’s always so friendly and very attentive even when we are sitting in the outside area. We never feel forgotten about, we never have empty cups and he’s always making sure everything comes out great for us. The burgers are what you should be coming here for and that jalapeño bun.. YUM! The appetizers are yummy (unhealthy) fried foods and exactly what you would expect at a burger joint, the salads taste fresh with great ranch! The chicken sandwich I would honestly skip. That’s the only food item I have regretted ordering from here and mostly because I know how good the burgers are and I missed out eating one that night. They have games outside that is great to keep the kids entertained, they have live music nights, the owner is also always around and making sure everyone is happy. My older kid says the sweet tea is dank(good)! I would say this business is a great addition to Godley and it’s worth frequenting. It definitely beats cooking dinner on those long days! We appreciate having a fun restaurant with a great atmosphere like...

My husband and I were so excited to try this place being that there’s not many good places out here in Godley. But whatttttttttttt a disappointment oh my gosh, dude seriously a $19 burger tasted so awkward like the texture is almost a thick rubber, then this chicken sandwich mind you $15 your thinking ohhh im going to get a big juicy patty lol this was honestly the size of a mc chicken I literally cannot make this up! Great value crinkle fries not even a little bit of crisp to them, over seasoned in whatever mix they have. You know it’s not good if your kiddos don’t hover your plate wanting some! Talk about disappointment smh! And this was my cheat day!!! What a waste of a cheat. I don’t write reviews hardly ever but I wanted an honest review out there! Go to del Norte or sonic save your money!!! Atmosphere was cute it has potential but you can’t expect to keep this business the way...
