Lex's Pizza and Subs — Restaurant in Goldsboro

I have been coming to this restaurant since it has opened. The only thing I order is the steak and cheese sub, lasagna, and or wings. These 3 dishes are amazing! However, today I chose to try something different (chicken broccoli Alfredo) and it was not good. It was too cheesy, no flavor, and the cheese was watery. I called and asked them could I swop it out for the lasagna because I didn’t like the taste and texture. They said yes. I hung up and started to drive that way. They called me back and said they don’t swop out or do refunds because they feel like it’s a personal problem and everything they cook is great. Long story short nothing was resolved and I feel like this is piss poor customer service because you can go anywhere and tell them you don’t like something and they’ll fix it. However, they’re being cheap because verbatim they said “they’re losing money swopping out the pasta’s that cost the same price”. I will never go back!!!! So please keep in mind, that if you like piss poor customer service and watery pasta this place is FOR YOU! & if you don’t!? Keep in mind that they expect your tastebuds and theirs to match...

We had a large meatball hot sub combo with fries and a small pepperoni and extra cheese pizza. Everything was pipping hot and very delicious. The sub bread was toasted just right, crunchy outer crust and soft on the inside. Big meatballs, plenty of sauce and cheese. Enough fries for two, maybe three, people and they were crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. The pizza is in our top three list! There was plenty of toppings, more cheese than we expected (and we are cheese lovers). The crust had just enough crunch on the bottom with a fluffy rise and a golden brown crust. The service was spot on, very courteous and she (don't know her name) brought us everything we needed and made sure we didn't run out of drinks. If we are in the area again we will...

First I thought there are other food chains all in this area...but then I saw the customers and tasted the food... there is a lot of royalty and the food is great!... they have not even open that long...it's a family passion that's been doing this successfully over 35 years in the area...they have branched off to this location... the lasagna is off the chain... the pizza melts in your mouth... burgers is on the money... the lemonade can I say probably it's a southern thing (sorry I'm a hippie not from around here...if I drink something like that afraid we'll get diabetes lol)... if you are here next to the casino they will deliver it for you...military-friendly! discounts for military! all people friendly no...
