Tastee Thai — Restaurant in Goldsboro

I've dined here 3 or 4 times since they've opened and each time I've had a wonderful Thai food experience!

This evening our meal was fresher and tastier than any meal we've had at any restaurant in recent memory. The Tom Yum arrived piping hot, full of fresh ingredients, fragrant aromatics, and generous for being the smaller portion. I highly recommend the Kao Soi for those who, like myself, have a hard time deciding between curry and noodles. I like to order a small side of rice to soak up the remaining broth. And of course they execute the classics (Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, spring rolls, etc.) masterfully.

Tonight's service was quick and friendly, a true delight! There are plenty of places within an hour radius to get good Thai food, but at Tastee Thai you get the full package. Prices are quite reasonable for what you receive. I look forward to trying more dishes in the...

First they gave us the wrong order. They tie the bag so tight you have to cut it open so it prevents you from being able to check your order before leaving. My husband went back and had to get our correct order. All that back and forth for subpar expensive food! The duck was good, but the sauce was not as tasty. I could only eat a bite of duck because of the sauce and took one bite of the rest. The fresh shrimp rolls weren’t too tasty, but my husband ate them because he didn’t want to waste the time and money. Even the ginger salad dressing didn’t taste like it should. I ended up eating rice for dinner. I know what Thai food should taste like. We both are a bit upset over the whole experience. We won’t be returning. Appetizers were just frozen food I can get anywhere. No flavor, not authentic and bland. First time we went took over 2 hours for a to go order with us waiting. We had to go to McDonald's for our kids because it was so long. Doesn't matter how good food is if you have to wait hours for it and then they forget part of the order. Whatever we tried to give them another chance as it could have been an off day or opening kinks to work out. Well hours online say open. No hours on door and place looks closed down for good.
