Chinese Express — Restaurant in Goose Creek

I ordered online (and paid $1 to do so) and received a text confirming my order with an estimated time for pickup and a message that I would receive text updates on my order status. I waited until 10 minutes after my estimated time and hadn’t received a text that it was ready, so I went in to see if it was ready. It had been sitting for a while. I walked in at the same time as several other people but was the first in line. I waited an additional five minutes for the girl at the register to look up from her phone and acknowledge me. While I’m waiting to get rice that I ordered at the restaurant (didn’t realize my meal didn’t come with it, that was on me), a delivery service driver behind me gave the girl at the register the order number he was there to get, she told him that was already picked up. He verified through the app that it wasn’t picked up, so someone else was given their order. I’m guessing that I didn’t get the text that my order was ready because she couldn’t be bothered to click that on the computer. It’s a shame, because the food was decent. We ordered a family meal that comes with a 1/2 gallon of tea, and added white rice. It was an about $60 but it will feed my family of 4 for a few meals. I would have probably given it 3 or 4 stars if the service wasn’t awful! The inside of the restaurant didn’t make me feel great about the cleanliness of the kitchen, but it’s basically Chinese fast food takeout, so I’m trying not to...

This is truly unfortunate that I have to write this review. I have gone several times and it’s been great. Last week I ordered and instead of getting chicken cashew I received chicken with broccoli. We also had ordered S&S chicken and the sauce must of came out of fridge it was that cold. I’ve never experienced that. I saved the food to take back so they can replace n see that we truly didn’t eat it. This week I decided to try again cause I really do love this place. I placed the order on top of requesting my previous chicken “cashew” be replaced. What I got again was chicken with broccoli. (Thankfully my daughter was there and checked) she waited another 10 min. Got the food, came home. Opened our food and the first thing that was seen was a black piece of hair coming out of the box of rice. We then opened our chicken and instead of it being a large AND small we got the same size but paid different amounts. When I called to let them know about the hair and the remainder of the issues I was hung up on. Now… my daughter called back and eventually got a refund on part of my order but originally she wasn’t going to refund at all even with me having proof. They only wanted to give a credit or 20% off NEXT order. Unfortunately, that won’t happen. Totally bums me out but I’m not...

I was craving Crab Rangoon for DAYS and after another delivery place failed me the day before, I gave this place a try last night. The Rangoon is pinched-up wonton-style, so there is a lot of hard fried pastry at the top, but I just started eating at the bottom, where the good stuff is, and didn't eat the tops, like a strawberry. They satisfied my need and cured my grumps.

The steamed dumplings are good and come with a ton of dipping sauce, not a tiny cup like elsewhere. The sauce has a distinct anise or fennel note, but is very tasty and not overly salty. The fried crab claws were krab, but adorably presented on little skewers with yummy tartar sauce.

The chicken wings are fabulous, meaty not fatty, perfectly cooked and flavorful. We got Buffalo and Lemon Pepper and the Buffalo were mildly spicy, with a building heat. The Lemon Pepper were not noticably either, but were tasty wings.

The dinner specials are HUGE servings and we didn't even get to them last night, so it's General Tso's chicken for breakfast! Since our usual delivery place has declined in service and quality, this may be our new go-to. Or...
