This place has great food and great ice cream, but we are almost at our wits end with the service. It is slow, which we dealt with for the good food, but also the staff are all young teenagers, very rude and they ask you for a tip at the drive thru!!! Your food is already expensive enough and no other place asks for tips when going through drive thru. Please tell your employees to stop doing this, it is tacky. If you want to ask for tips, then put a tip jar at the window, but don't have employees asking every single customer for tips when going through the drive thru. Also, recently we went there and when I got my shake it literally fell apart in the truck. Not one person offered napkins to my fiance to help clean the truck. They made a new shake, but no napkins offered. And you want tips for the drive thru??? I know the owners say they are desperate for help and that this is what happens with inexperienced staff, but if you want experienced staff, you need to pay for it. When gas is 5.25/hr. Offering 8 - 10 /hr. Like their sign at the door stated, is only going to get you teenagers. Also, lots of other places hire teenagers and don't have as many issues. Sounds like there may be a need for stricter management. I am not sure what is going on here but I hope it gets fixed because the food is very good and I would hate to have to stop coming.
Update 11/22: drove there to find out they were closed despite an open sign being on. FB showed no notice of closing early. This was before 5pm. We have actually tried to come here two time before this but called ahead and they closed early. We are talking several hours early. I love the food but this is getting ridiculous. Read moreMy parents are in from out of town, and we brought them here for the experience. They had to wait over 20 minutes for their burgers, the rest of our group got their food and other customers who had ordered after my parents ordered got theirs as well. Then when my father finally went to the counter to ask what was happening they acted as if they didn’t know what was going on and finally STARTED making their food. When they got their burgers they messed up the order making them incorrectly. After speaking to the manager, yes he refunded the money and said they would correct the burgers and get them right out. While waiting for the corrected food to come out the manager came into the lobby to talk to another family that had come in, who proceeded to mock and make fun of my parents rather loudly that we could hear them on the other side of the store. That was bad enough, but to add to it the manager joined in with them, which is beyond disrespectful and extremely unprofessional. I then interrupted them and asked when my parents would be getting the corrected burgers and was told they already had them, that he saw them on the counter. Read moreI normally love this spot but the new owners changed how their fried mushrooms were. They had the best fried mushrooms around. I would travel an hour just for a few orders of them. When I asked if they would be going back to how they were which was cut then fried so they aren't slimy.... The owner had told the workers to tell the customers complaining that they can have a knife to cut them if they like. Really disappointing and frustrating to come this far for something so sub par. For the owner to say that they give you a knife in their reply to this post and to cut them after they are fried hole to retain their juicieness?? They clearly either need to contact the previous owner on how they safely cut the frozen mushrooms or ask the many people that loved how their mushrooms were cooked why they come far and wide for their mushrooms. We can all get gross slimy mushrooms at many other places.
