We took a ride up the River Road today and saw this place so we tried it, and boy was we sorry, we walked in to find an empty dining room because everyone was outside which is fine, we were snubbed for ordering water, in my case I have to order water because I need to stay away from the sugar drinks and I only drink a zero cherry Coke and most places don't have it, their water was tap water,we were flopped down with some menus the girl was very unfriendly the staff was very unfriendly, after 20 minutes they started bringing our food out they got my grandson's food wrong completely, there's no explanation of food in the menu so we were guessing as we ordered, when my jerk chicken got out there I must have been confused because it was all dark meat except one piece and it was like rubber, my son's sandwich was Cuban had nothing on it it was dry and so he asked for a barbecue sauce which the manager announced that that would be 75 cents ,that's if he wanted the barbecue sauce, so I'm guessing she was insinuating that we couldn't afford it, $0.75 for barbecue sauce although with the prices that they have there they should have probably given us the barbecue sauce, especially after being rude and messing up our order, not to mention that we were never offered napkins or silverware when they did give us a napkin it came wrapped on the silverware we were offered no more napkins, for the prices they charge at this place way too high , standards should be also set High. If you're looking to spend your hard-earned money in Grafton I would look for another place. Also because of the rudeness I let her know that we will be giving a bad review and she said okay no problem it's not my place. That was the waitress that said that, and then the manager came out and she said well I'm assuming since most of the food is eaten that it was good so I'm not worried about it, I didn't tell you this but our food was already put up in containers it was...

The patio is comfortable and has a picturesque view of the river. A good percentage is under a tiki type roof, but if you want sun, there are plenty of tables offering that, too.
The menu has a good variety, so it was hard to decide what I wanted for lunch. After some serious consideration and asking my bartender what were her favorite items on the menu, I finally made up my mind. Since my I am a fan of Shrimp Tacos, I choose their Blackened Shrimp Tacos with a Side of Mexican Corn.
The two tacos were stuffed with lots of Blackened Shrimp, purple cabbage, topped with mango and pineapple salsa and a slice of avocado. As a side, I stayed with the Mexican theme. Their Street Corn was served on the cob, which I am not use to, but the flavor was solid and flavorful.
I enjoyed sitting at the bar on the patio and the bartender provided attentive service. Other servers even stopped by and asked how I was enjoying my meal.
I'm looking forward to coming back and trying the fresh Grouper.
For those of you who may not know, Southern Coastal Cusine is owned by the same folks you bring you, Grafton Oyster Bar. So you know...
Read moreGreat atmosphere! Right on the river w/ a beautiful view! Delicious food!! Friday evening at 8:15 PM. Sat down in a table exterior to the bar, where we have been for 12 minutes and not one server has approached us. Finally assumed that we needed to go to bar to order food and drink while three servers collaborated over at a table together for 27 minutes without checking on ANY table (see attached pictures). Meanwhile bartender (only one that appears to care about the customers) is leaving bar to go around to tables, take food orders and deliver drinks as well. Working on getting pictures of this so-called “excellent service”. If I’m the bar owner, I would be highly embarrassed especially since the evening was obviously...
