UPDATED: READ YOUR RECEIPT BEFORE SIGNING!!!!! IS THIS A NEW POLICY??? My husband placed an online order for which, he paid online. When he went to pick it up, a blonde, curly hair kid asked him to sign a receipt. He started to, but stopped when he saw what the receipt said..... an added tip for $4 and some change that he didn't ask to be added, wasn't told was added, nothing. He finished signing it figuring if this kid needs an extra $4 so bad he's going to steal it, then he needs it more than we do. But it's the principle. If they add a $4 tip to everyone's order and no one notices, that's a ton of money at the end of the day. As he gave the receipt back he asked a few things like "most people don't notice a tip added on I guess, do they? Do you feel thats ethical to take peoples money? Don't you think you should do things to earn tips so you don't have to steal them?" The kid said nothing. Just a beware... like I said, I don't know if this is a new policy put in place by hungry howies (and if it is, we all are in trouble) or just this store with selfish workers taking advantage of customers but either way... READ YOUR RECEIPTS!!!
Unfortunate. The workers are very nice and always have been. I really do appreciate them. However, my husband placed an online order for me to pick up on my way home. He texted me that it was marked "ready" as I was walking into the building. They couldn't find my order. It was in the system, and a girl said she remembered making it but...it was gone. My husband at home with 3 hungry kids was incredibly upset. I of course wasn't happy but try to not take things like this out on the employees. Even if they did do something wrong, people make mistakes. What's unfortunate however, is the way they compensate for those mistakes. They didnt offer anything until I told them my husband wanted some sort of credit. On the entire $30something order, they said they could only credit the $7 charge for bread. Once my order was ready (once again) I was told they were out of sauce for the bread.... which meant my family wouldn't eat it anyway..... had I known they had no sauce I would have had them take it off the order completely and not remake it. Read moreI had a birthday party on Saturday and I ordered four large pizzas and two sets of how wings and a cheesy bread. It was set to be delivered at 2:30, 30 minutes after the party started. After they were 15 minutes late I called, they informed me the driver was on the road and should be pulling in within the next five minutes. After another 15 minutes of waiting, my husband called. They told him they had no idea where the driver was or the food and they were trying to get in touch with him and to please hold, in which they probably hung up the phone. He called back immediately and then they told him that Our pizzas were coming out of the oven, even though that’s the third different story they gave us and our pizzas were already 45 minutes late. I will never order pizza from hungry Howies again. Horrible customer service completely disrespectful. I then called cottage inn pizza down the road, for the exact same order that I was supposed to get from hungry Howies, and 20 minutes later they were in my driveway. I will forever order from cottage Inn, and never again in my life will I order...
Read moreMy bf ordered a pizza at 9:38 a pepperoni pizza and bread sticks and the driver was on route for 30 min according to the app, then it showed at completed, but the order was not there! We looked for 15 min before calling and asking about it, they said the driver clicked it by mistake, and they had the pizza there, we asked for it to be remade, and they had an attitude even tho the pizza is almost an hour old now. We decided we didn’t want it and called back 2 min later to cancel the order when the rude female manager proceeded to curse at us and hang up the phone. We will no longer be supporting his hungry Howie’s and directing our business elsewhere where, and recommending people in grand Blanc do that same if This is how your management treats the staff and I do hope you listen to the recording from when she was on the phone she was just plain rude and disrespectful. 0/10 do not come to this location.
