We have been waiting for this place to open for a long time after visiting Dominique Ansel bakery in New York the home of the cronut We anticipated having something like this in Michigan. A cronut Is a donut shaped croissant with flaky layers with filling in between each layer and it melts in your mouth. If you are expecting a cronut here you will be sadly disappointed. These are definitely very puffed up fried croissants with frosting and toppings on the top. Mind you they are very good puffed up croissants If I had gone and expecting just a fried croissant with frosting, I would have been pleasantly pleased however, I was not as I was expecting it to be more like a cronut
Pleasant and the line was a little long as to be expected on opening weekend. I got three different donuts maple bacon, strawberry short cake and chocolate chocolate.
My two year old who loves everything loved the frosting but not the fried croissant. The dough in certain areas was definitely undercooked.
Again iridescent for what it is but not what I was expecting. If you find yourself at Lotus Farm in Ann Arbor try their croissant donut or the cronut if in NYC
If you want a fried croissant with frosting this would be a good place for you to try.
I would avoid opening weekend in the heat as they can only pet a handful of people in at a time and the inside space for waiting is hard with a stroller. The maple bacon tastes like breakfast of bacon and pancakes the bacon is crispy it’s a little like breakfast in a donut.
The strawberry shortcake has fresh strawberries on top with the frosting and tasted like a cupcake
The chocolate chocolate has little Krispies coated in chocolate with chocolate glaze
They are messy but a good messy. The price point was $2.95 each unless you get a dozen or more they are $2.25 and we did get a free one via an offer. The prices are great.
They have coffee and breakfast items we didn’t...
Read moreI am obsessed with this place! I have coffee and orange juice and tea and chocolate milk and regular milk if you don't like coffee and so many different flavors of donuts! Have a crispy edge and a soft Center the whipped cream is super light nothing is overpowering or too sweet. I've tried just about all of them. They also have a logo flavor which currently is strawberry lemonade. It's where the old Starbucks used to be if you're familiar with the town. It's near the intersection of Saginaw and Grand Blanc road. In a plaza with a few other restaurants. Near the bank and other shopping options with lots of parking and also a bigger parking lot across the street within walking distance. Places to sit inside and Wi-Fi if you need to do some work. I tried the strawberry cheesecake, the coconut cream, the oreo, the peanut butter and chocolate, the strawberry lemonade, the Cherry cheesecake, the French toast, and the campfire one in the last 3 days. Yes, yes... I know that's a lot of donuts I didn't eat them all I ate only half of each. 🤣 They are that good. I thought I wouldn't like the coconut cream as much as I did I'm not a big coconut cream fan but this one was so subtle it was just the right level of sweetness with just a hint of coconut and super creamy. Delish! I would recommend this place to anyone in the service always comes with a smile. Donuts are made small batch and fresh daily. And they're running the drive-thru and the counter and you always seem to get your donuts within minutes there's no long wait times in lines like other donut places in the area. I...
Read moreStopped by Parlor Doughnuts to check it out and was surprised that it was not your normal kind of doughnut shop. The doughnuts looked like designer doughnuts amped up on steroids. The doughnuts were beautifully made and there were many different flavours to choose from including a ketogenic variety. The inside of the doughnuts were filled with pastry and butter. I ordered a box of 6 with two chocolate and peanut butter, two lemon and two French toast. The French toast doughnut was super sweet, but I think it was my favourite. The cost per doughnuts was $2.95 a piece. This price is a bit steep for a doughnut 🍩, but this is not a regular kind of doughnut. I probably will not go here every time when I want a doughnut. I will probably only go on special occasions. The gals behind the counter were having a laugh and seemed to be enjoying themselves and the manager said, “you both are having too much fun”. And then she gave them something to do. I actually enjoyed hearing people enjoy their jobs and thought it added to the atmosphere of the facility. The interior was clean and easy appointed nicely with a...
