Coney Island Lunch Room — Restaurant in Grand Island

I was an employee at cony island for 6 months.i was a loyal employee and George even trusted me while he was outta town on business wit the keys to his place.recently on Friday the 30 of December.he hands me my check and tells me that business is slow and that I am no longer needed.their was no warning no weeks pay.no notice I didn't even have a next week's check coming.because of this me and my family are currently on the streets and have no place to live or anything.this shows me Georges true character.and I absolutely hate the fact that I went outta my way for this man and he just throw me away like trash.to be honist that place is so dirty in the back idk how he hasn't got shut down.their is cockroaches and mold and grease everywhere.i have witnessed him go to the bathroom.not wash and continue to stick his fingers in everyone's food.next time you visit cony island just look under the table.or stop and take a good look at the back where the grill is.maybe you will change your mind about eating in this nasty place for...

I honestly can only grasp this place has a high rating because people's nostalgia overrides their pallette. The hot dogs are literally the cheapest ones you can purchase and still legally call them hot dogs, instead of the all-beef hot dogs the real Coney Island is known for. Their "meat" topping is vaguely reminiscent of what a cat pukes up after eating soft food, both in smell and looks. The few times I've visited I ended up not eating because all 4 times, their bread was moldy. So that takes out the only thing they're "famous" for, completely. The malt was ok, but I'd really like to see how they clean at the end of the night, so I know I won't get tetanus. Probably the rudest staff I have ever encountered at a restaurant of any kind, especially the Asian woman. They practically threw our food down in front of us, the Asian lady woman mentioned above repeatedly kept running into the back of my chair at the bar, and acted like I was inconviencing her by asking for a straw for my milkshake. They screwed up our order (which was very simple: milkshake, hot dog, and fries) and the conditions seemed very unsanitary. The cups looked like they hadn’t been cleaned properly in days. There are much nicer and friendlier places to eat in town to settle for this dump. Very disappointed in the service and treatment when we were just trying to get some lunch.
