Antiquing is one of the very best things to do in Nebraska, and Grand Island has many fantastic antique stores. The city has used the novel concept of antique "malls" - i.e., consignment shops - to great advantage.

Heartland Antiques is one of the best antique shops in Grand Island. Friendly staff, well organized stuff. My wife was looking for 'Desert Rose' and found several great pieces in the store. I am not a big shopper nor big antiquer, but the store had plenty to keep me interested - especially old style cigarette paraphernalia.

Fun place to visit if you enjoy antique and vintage items. Large store with plenty of booths to browse. There are parts that could be better lit, and one vendor who has so many items packed in that it’s nearly impossible to look through, but he is the exception. Most are well organized and easy to shop. Like any antique mall, some vendors are competitively priced, some aren’t, but that’s nothing against the store. Employees have always been helpful to us. Not your usual antique store. This store is filled with gems and treasures of the past and in good condition. It is 2 floors of anything and everything ranging from 1940's medical devices; 19th century framed photographs; furniture from all eras and beyond.
